So basically this reads as the $$$ given overall to "Staff member 1" was to secure his cooperation in steering kids to Michel. As long as Baker never gave any money to Sexton or his dad, then Sexton will be fine and good to play.

If he did, then Sexton hasn't played for Bama in any games yet and can be declared ineligible. Which would be proactive and not affect Avery Johnson or Alabama.

Either situation, Alabama will be fine.

You seem triggered. This is a time of celebration. Alabama is under investigation, after all.

If you had 3 pistols and only I bullet, which pistol would you use to shoot your self between the eyes?

On a serious note, without having read through the thread, can someone unbiased give me a rundown on what’s going on? Is Alabama fricked, like Auburn, or not?

Just referring to my previous post. Can't speak for Auburn because he was actually arrested so they must have something on him.
As far as Alabama...

Yes my social life is nothing but here.

Phan I post on here at work 98% of the time. You caught me on the rare evening where I am not working out after putting my daughter to bed.

You constantly say I need this place, but again you are the one going through considerable effort in comparison to be here. You might take a retrospective look at yourself as well as your anger issues...

That’s not what I wanted to hear so I am labeling you as biased towards Alabama.

NCAA has too big of an issue on it's hands. Like, literally, if they did anything, the NCAA tournament would be shut down for 2 years. With so many teams involved, nothing really is going to happen to anyone. If it were just one or two teams...major storm. With it potentially touching dozens and dozens of teams, they would kill themselves if they did too much.

If what has been stated is true, arrest might be coming as this was relatively recent in comparison.

As for just the act of coach or aad taking money, it's an NCAA violation in a few different bylaws. I don't think anyone can predict how they are going to treat it at this point.

Auburn and Bama has people in authority steer players to agents. Louisville paid for
Recruits. The NCAA will go after recruiting hard. This other stuff will not be as big a deal.

As far as Alabama is concerned only one player is in question and he has yet to play a minute for Alabama and there's still a few months before the season and it's entirely possible he will be cleared before then.

If all that happened at Bama was that a coach was paid to tell a player to sign with someone once he turns pro, if it's an NCAA violation it wouldn't rise to the seriousness of Louisville. And the penalty would likely be for the coach and not the program...which in this case the coach was fired.

If the Alabama AD was on tape and still wasn't arrested, then that speaks volumes.

Unless more comes out, neither are seriously fricked.

Auburn is in a little worse shape because there were payments to current players that have participated.

Probable worst case based on what is in the public arena is Alabama loses Colin Sexton and possibly minor sanctions.

Worst case for Auburn is losing the two players, vacating some wins, slightly stronger sanctions than Bama and MAYBE a year postseason ban but I don't know that the postseason ban is a sure thing.

Both are really helped by the fact that the actions appear to be unsanctioned individual ones that did not benefit the programs - unlike Louisville.

Just cross your fingers that no more comes out.
