To be fair this is is not just Kentucky but the entire USA
I grew up at a time when kids sat down with family and and extended family at the dinner table and were expected to be part of the conversation. Kids, parents, grandparents, and often great grandparents all participated so you had living history lessons taught across a century of so of people and events.
This had been replaced by click baiting what the media feeds us like pablum to babies to turn their minds to mush. If what I say seems rambling or odd, perhaps perhaps your mind is proof the media has succeeded in wiping out real discussion and critical thinking based on education system in the USA that has replaced "classical" education with whatever sells the most product.
