QB play was great. I don't know what you're talking about. There weren't many pass plays in the second half.

He also had a passing TD called back

I only watched the first quarter and I thought Harris was vastly improved from last year. He made some good decisions with a thrown away ball and a time out. He threw a few good passes that I saw but they kept it simple for him for what little bit I saw.

9 of 14 ... you are acting like he went 5 of 25.

Jeremy Johnson almost lost a home game against Jacksonville State.

Let that sink in ...

Something ZERO LSU fans want to bring up.... ALL the LSU fans thinking blowout this week are in for a HUGE letdown........

Can LSU have a successful season with 4 quarters of QB play like that?

A couple of things.

First, If you watched the game Harris actually played very well. The 71 yards passing were due to Miles' moronically conservative play calling in the second half that nearly let State win. Harris can throw and if your team isn't ready and Miles takes the training wheels off, it will be a long day for auburn.

2. Your point is correct in that if Miles doesn't get out of the offenses way and let them put teams away when they have the chance, LSU will not be successful this year.

Easily? They had to chuck it 44 times. USM had to throw it because they only averaged 2.8 YPC on the ground - 1.6 YPC if you take the 44 TD run out of the equation.

Didn't Brandon Harris look really good against Mississippi State last year, before laying an egg against Auburn? His performance last week was "meh" at best. And he certainly isn't the most threatening piece of the LSU offense.

Well count me as an LSU fan that thinks we CAN blowout auburn this week. But we WON'T because Les will not open up the offense until he has no other choice in order to win a game.

He'd rather sit on a lead and give the other team the chance to win than go for the kill shot.

About as successful a season as Auburn can have if there QB throws 3 interceptions every game.

Hopefully he cleans that up this weekend. The sad truth is it should have been about five interceptions in each of those games.

I thought Harris threw pretty well (and the receivers really worked hard for him) but conservative play calling will be the downfall of LSU.

THIS All day long. Les wouldn't let Tom Brady, Dan Marino or John Elway throw it one more time than he needed to to win a game. Les wouldn't throw the ball one fricking time if he could get away with it and he wouldn't care how much it pissed off the LSU fan base.

Didn't he have like a 50 yard bomb called back? Kind of like what should have happened to Auburn?

It really drives me nuts.
And we do t even have to throw it much more than 14 times a game.

He'll just mix in a play action pass or run LF out of a passing formation once in a while.

Yep....I didn't watch all of both games but I definitely saw a few other passes that probably should have been picked off. If I were an Auburn fan I'd be real nervous about Mr. Johnson's decision making ability against SEC defenses.

He had two completions for 75 yards, a TD and a first down called back. The TD for holding, the 1st down was incorrectly ruled incomplete. Les didn't throw it after that.

It's frustrating as a fan. If Les and Cam don't at least attempt to achieve less imbalance than against MSU (and all of 2014), we'll lose 2-3 games we should win, and we'll fail to put away infefior opponents.

Name me a coach who wouldn't do this if he could.
