I'm just messing with y'all. Kelly is a good hire. He is certainly better than what you had and his floor will keep LSU competitive for years to come.
It'll be interesting to see how he does in the SEC. And I agree with the poster that said he thinks part of the reason Kelly left was for a challenge.....and more money.

A former Notre Dame QB criticizing the head coach that spurned his alma mater.

He’s now an LSU tigger. Classless is part of the job description

Oh he mad. We need a football coach, not someone who’s gonna give a shite about every single person’s feelings. He was there for 12 years and gave us all at that place. He knows he needs to hit the ground running right now at LSU instead of worrying about whether Notre Dame gets in the playoffs.

It’s cute how you LSU people act like ND people are being babies but if LSU lost their HC in the exact same manner TD would burn to the ground.

You can thank the way CFB is set-up for these "walk-outs." Coaches have to get on the road IMMEDIATELY to recruit because of the dumb early signing period. Also, NCAA has no restrictions on contacting coaches (like the NFL does).

I could be wrong but I feel like the news was dropped before Kelly wanted. LSU was getting killed in the media over not landing Riley and needed to save face.
From what I heard the guy had to talk to scramble to let his team know as soon as possible.
Speculation on my part, but I won't have been surprised if the original plan was for them to make the announcement after ND knew if they were in the Playoffs or not.

Hahaha Quinn did not get any attention with his first quote, so let’s ratchet it up.

So what he left when he did. Yes, it was about the money, yes he is 60 and not getting younger. Sure he figures he might position himself for an NC about the time Saban retires. Sure, LA heat and humidity beats the icy hell hole of South Bend. Roll off some more reasons and it is about all of them. Get over it, ND.
1988 is not that far removed from 1980. Get over it ND, you are just not all THAT anymore.

And if that happened to LSU, y’all would react the same way about it LSU fans are right now

At the end of the day, you don't leave the way he did, literally out on the road recruiting, leaving a recruit's house after this news breaks and having other coaches out there who are on the road recruiting," Quinn continued. "You don't leave in a classless way like that, after becoming the all-time winningest coach, unless there's more to it and you want to try to spurn, or you want to try and do this in a conniving way.
Maybe. But at the end of the day, I get tired of the Brady Quinns spouting about how other man should or should not earn their money. If Brady thinks he knows how to do it better - get off your arse and go do so.
And piss on your "hot take" about how somebody else should be earning.

Kids these days don’t give a shite about Notre Dames traditions. They know LSU was always in the hunt when they were growing up and put out NFL superstars

Does this idiot “sports analyst” not comprehend how coaching changes work now with the early signing period?
