I agree with all this 100%. I just don't agree that it makes him a bad guy.

This.

Kelly would have taken any job that offered that contract.

Why not give the Irish a chance to match then?

Or maybe we post things like this so that we can watch LinsecureU fans come absolutely unglued at the thought that their coach has serious personality flaws. It’s funny and entertaining and that’s all.

Geez. You’d think Kelly was the first coach ever to change jobs.

To be fair, they've never seen it happen.

Notre Dame hasn't lost a head coach in 114 years.

No. I agree. It was not the only factor. But he wasn't going to LSU for less money, either.

Don’t sensationalize. He didn’t call Zkelly classless. He said it was a classless move. Big difference. Idiot.

This is probably most likely. Their egos took quite a hit. Even Alabama has had a coach leave for a different college job (Franchione to A&M). Notre Dame thought it would be impossible for a coach to actually leave them willingly for another college job

Well, they have the media, too.

There is a reason they live off their reputation from the 50's-60's

It really is amazing. They've gone almost as long as Georgia has without a national title, yet you'd never know it with the way they're coddled in the media and always have been, yet Georgia is constantly reminded of how long it's been for them

Classless people are evidenced through their classless actions. Those with high character and integrity are evidenced similarly. It’s not really semantics as you suggest.

"This was about money," Quinn, currently an analyst for FOX Sports, said on 2 Pros and Cup of Joe. "This was about ego, him looking at LSU and saying: 'I've played against them. I know the difference in restrictions that you have, the hurdles you have to jump over at Notre Dame versus LSU to recruit and I want to try and go win a National Championship.' And he might feel like he has a better chance there.

Quinn said the move "was about money" and then he refers to ego, superior athletes, recruiting advantages, less academic restrictions and "hurdles" that give Kelly a better chance to win a national championship. Seems to me that the move was about everything except money. Dumbass.

Any AD that goes to a sitting HC they want to hire and offers LESS money than they're making to try to lure them away will get laughed out of the room and should be fired. Who the hell is saying or even implying Kelly would have came here even with a paycut?

I don't even think it was a classless move. Quinn is just jealous that Kelly didn't want to stay at ND, plain and simple. And calling Kelly out in public is a classless move.

There is not good time to take a job. I am surprised they announced it before the playoff teams were announced, but it is what it is.

Quinn's just crying and hoping somebody will listen.
