They put it in an aircast on the field. High ankle sprain?

it’s hard to see in this photo..
the video shows it better
it’s possible it’s a sprain, but looks like it broke to me.. either way, his season is likely over, maybe he could pitch hit in Omaha

Nolan Cain has really outdone himself.

Didn't sound good when they interviewed Schloss. He looked pretty rattled.

I thought the same. Schloss made zero attempt at spinning in any positivity.

Unless he's close to playing, teams are limited to.....40 I believe....players on the CWS roster. Would be hard to possibly waste a place.

Big loss to Aggie lineup. Hate that

Guys he is SO DONE.
He would be better off breaking his angle.
That injury is a long road to recovery. Likely several torn ligaments.
Good news for Ags? As much as I hate to say it, he may consider coming back with NIL cash too

I had an almost identical trip/fall to Braden’s a few years back (x-ray below).
Broke my ankle and fibula.
The moment he went down today I knew he was in trouble.
Brutal loss for the Ags , but the future remains obscenely bright for him in MLB.

Just stop. Was a bad call to send him. Hey…how was your lock that we wouldn’t win today go?

He's a first round pick. He's not coming back.

It's all a giant conspiracy, plotted and planned in Baton Rouge!
With consulting input from Austin, TX.

Absolutely this.
NIL cash won’t sniff what he’ll likely notch in the draft.
Skenes and Crews both signed for $9 million plus.
.

He’s not getting Skenes money but could make 3-4M with a really nice sign on bonus.

Agreed.
I didn’t mean to suggest Braden would pull down Skenes-type numbers; just that getting drafted in the top 10–which has been the prediction for Braden to this point—pays very well.
