You have a team of four and five stars that just won a Natty. I don't think it's surprising you didn't need the portal, and your players didn't want to enter the portal.
There just not that much NIL money going to non-recruits / non-QBs right now. Maybe that corrects itself.

I've heard that part of the reason Kiffin balked at Auburn is because he didn't feel like their NIL structure was completely in place yet.
I've heard Ole Miss has made some good moves in that area lately, I expect them to be a mover and shaker.

Our situation seems a bit more dire now. The S&C Coach was bad mouthing Pittman behind his back to players and causing a revolt, which, not surpisingly, got him fired.

They won’t lose very many they want to keep. Those boys looked motivated last night. TAMU has the 2nd biggest NIL budget in the country behind Texas. They’ll pay whoever they want to keep.

I don't think they will lose any more than any other team, on average.
I am interested to see how Jimbo "reloads" via the portal though as he's never been a big portal player.
I think UGA and Kirby will basically be "safe" because of their culture and recent success, Alabama will see a little more movement.
Everyone else is fair game though.

Jermaine Burton left National Champ Georgia for Alabama. He had about the same stats this year as last year, but he won't get 2 or 3 more games to showcase his talent for the NFL next year. Only one NC ring for him.
