It’s beneficial to no one but you and your lying ilk.
Let’s be honest, Tex.

I don’t care what sources are saying on Twitter, there’s no way Texas/OU are getting 11 yes votes

OU alone could potentially get 11 yes votes, but Texas won’t.

The gentleman’s agreement only matters for Kentucky, LSU, Georgia and Florida. When six of the ten teams that were in the SEC prior to 1992 have in-state bedfellows, you’re going to have a really hard time clinging to a dumb notion that you should be your state’s only SEC representative.

It’s probably beneficial to higher ups that live for the almighty dollar.

Aggie can veto Texas. I don't blame them. They would lose a recruiting advantage. Texas can join the Pac12. OU can join the SEC. Aggies don't have an issue with OU do they?

I’m not clinging to an obvious (non-)gentleman’s agreement; I just can’t fathom that so many schools would be so asinine and shortsighted as to add the horns to the conference.

I have faith in that.

If Texas and Oklahoma join the SEC, it would break a long-standing "gentlemen's agreement" between SEC schools that gives conference members "absolute veto power" over the addition of another school from their state, according to a former Texas A&M official.

R. Bowen Loftin, who helped steer the Aggies into the SEC in 2011 while serving as A&M's president, said the oft-discussed unwritten rule was a "specific conversation" during expansion talks in 2010-11 when he was involved. Loftin also served as chancellor at Missouri in 2014-15 after the Tigers made the move to the SEC.
If they want to pick up their ball and go home, I'm sure Baylor, TCU and Texas Tech will gladly welcome them home.

Both UT and OU can join the PAC. UT are arrogant troublemakers, and OU doesn’t like even playing fields in conference. They’re the two reasons there never was a Big 12 TV contract.

All for themselves.

I think that "agreement" was made AFTER the SEC had formed with those members.

I'd say quotes from a former President who led A&M leaving and then was President at another SEC school is pretty strong evidence to the contrary.

If the SEC wants to sell out their word to A&M for a few bucks so be it. Realize though we are more than used to it from our prior conferences, we just thought you were different.

A&M will be fine but there will be a reckoning and probably not the way you expect it to happen. Personally I think A&M joins with Texas and OU and likely Arkansas to go after the weaker schools. After all if it is just business and who brings in revenue A&M is just fine, some other schools ought to be nervous though, especially long term. A&M and Texas have a lot of bad blood but also a lot of mutual interest and power. We know how to deal with the devil, you guys will have to learn the hard way.

Never a problem with OU. We aren’t scared of a good football team. Bring them in.

We are trying to save the SEC we love from a lot of drama.

You were that kinda hot, but a little strange, Tri Delt from Sugarland, who had her dad's Amex Platinum and a brand new car. I'd go with you to visit your family's ranch in hill country and I could shoot your dads over-unders at clays as much as I wanted, drink all the Shiner in his dedicated beer fridge and not have to pay a dime.

But that insanly hot Kappa from Buckhead wants this dick now.

You can either take what you can get when she has that Astronomy lab on Tuesday nights, or move the frick on.

We would have to bring in OSU too because of that law they have, but I'm ok with that, the west needs another cupcake. Then move Auburn to the East I guess. They seem to be ok with that too. But aTm absolutely has the right to veto Texas.

Why not Bring Georgia Tech and FSU or one of the other Florida schools to the SEC?! Because some schools in the SEC are scare to have competition!
