He’s got that Denver offense running more smoothly than they have in about a decade.
Crazy that some people last year were still claiming he sucks

i wish him well. Congrats, Bo!

Well, he mostly sucked at Auburn but was smart to stay in school for 5 years and of course transfer to Oregon. Also, having Sean Payton as your coach is usually an advantage.
Hopefully more and more college QBs take note because the NFL doesn't seem to care much about developing them.

Tell that to Russell Wilson

Hopefully there’s a a bonus with this award that allows him to pay child support.

Bo was good at Auburn, not great. Good freshman year, sophomore year wasn’t great but that’s the COVID year so who knows. Up and down in 2021, but Harsin was there. Made a good business decision to transfer to Oregon after graduating from Auburn.
Russell Wilson sucks now, but he was always going to be Payton’s scapegoat last season. Convenient, but Russ didn’t do anything on the field to dispel that.

Bo is competitive and a gamer. Not all QB’s are. Plus, doubters probably pushed him also.
Coaching is probably helping also because most NFL coaches don’t know how to develop a QB. They expect them to come in and start day 1 without any adjustment period.

The terrible irony here is that he literally grew up with a QB coach inside his own home.

He is good. Gus was the problem.
He has destroyed Bo and couldn't get anything out of KJ.

I have stated numerous times here that even as a fan of a rival team, his obvious lack of mechanics (at Auburn) were baffling and frustrating even to me, which is more ridiculous when you consider that his father played QB and was a QB coach in college, and is a moderately successful head coach in high school.
Given the evidence, there really is no other explanation.

Probably good for his NFL career to get behind an OL that wasn't running HS blocking schemes when he transferred to Oregon.
The shitty OL recruiting by Gus can be attributed to his gimmick HS offense. Obviously Harsin didn't recruit at all so it didn't matter what the offensive scheme was.

Nix had 3 OC's in 3 years at Auburn as well as a head coaching change. That doesn't help.
I really wish Nix would have stayed, but don't fault him at all for leaving after one year with Harsin. Happy to see him doing well in the NFL.

Just bought his jersey out here in Colorado Springs! Always support a Bama boy, even if he did play for Auburn. He looks good. Hopefully he can continue his success.

Doing very well so far considering he's a rookie.

Denver isn't 5-3 right now without hiring Payton.
And yes, Nix only showed flashes while at Auburn, regardless of the coaching carousel.

I was referring to a pro coach who is patient and believes in his QB. Most rookie QB’s are thrown to the wolves.

Nah. He was above average, just played well below his talent and missed so many easy throws. Some due to poor footwork/mechanics, some due to awful OL play. The Gus passing scheme was also awful. Bo could have still played a lot better, but there were many other worse issues those years.

Oh yeah, I gotcha, it's just still so perplexing to me.
I watched him play a bit in high school, so I feel like I've been part of the "stop throwing across your body and set your bleeping feet" crew for the greater part of a decade now.

Auburn treated him like crap and bow Auburn sucks and he's killing it in the NFL.
Loser alert. Auburn football.
