Shocking. The only teams who make the playoffs are the teams with the best players out of high school. Man, college football has gotten so predictable and boring. Who's excited for a Bama-Clemson playoff game this year? Not most fans.

Mack came out of retirement and has proven he's a damn good coach at 70 yrs old. He's got NC playing good, competitive ball.

I know sometimes people just need a change of scenery after so long, but what could have been if Mack wasn't forced out.

Strong & Herman went 48-39 and only had 2 seasons of 70% winning % or higher. Sub 50% in 3.

A lot more 8-5/9-4 seasons with trips to the Alamo Bowl?

1. That was better than what they got.
2. He was like that near the end, but most of his career was better than that.

ND, Wash, Miami, USC and A&M don't belong in that graphic.
You do realize that the graphic isn’t an OPINION it’s a FACT, Right?

Cincinnati would beat 3/4ths of the teams on that list by 17 or more. And so would we.

Can I please get a list of any of these teams that you have played and the final scores please? I don't recall you ever beating a team from the SEC even by a touchdown. Maybe a FG.

Mack needs a few more years to turn over the NC roster, kind of like Fisher did. A&M wasn't even on this graph a few years ago. It will be the same for NC - Mack can recruit, and NC is a beautiful campus

Why do you have to have the most experienced QB in the league to win an NC (or anything else)?

It certainly helps, but it s not a requirement.

The days of discussing whether teams like South Carolina, Ole Miss, Michigan State, or TCU can make a jump into the upper tier of talent have been shelved.
Can’t argue with sound logic like that!

"Can" win a NC? That's an opinion and none of those are winning a NC anytime soon.

I'd make a snide comment about Lsu's 2020 bowl opponent but yall didn't make a bowl last year

I'd make a snide comment about aTm last national championship but we hadn't even stormed the beaches of Normandy yet.

It's a fact that every team the last 10 years that has won a national title has had a least a > 50% ratio of blue chips vs. not in their last 4 recruiting classes overall. That's literally the whole point of the article.

Clemson and FSU won NC's with as low as 52% and 53% ratios. The point is there seems to be a minimum floor of talent needed to be able to win a national title.

Then congrats on the minimum requirement

My point still stands

You probably said similar things about Clemson and FSU then before they won one and they had significantly less talent than some of the top teams overall.

It's not saying they are winning it, just saying they have the talent minimum to qualify here.
