Players were receiving free education that was enough.

The NCAA had no choice, politicians made laws in states.

The NCAA didn't cave, it was steam rolled.

Yes. Free education and state-of-the-art training facilities and access to dedicated teams of trainers, nutritionists, and doctors while you audition for the NFL and get the type of name recognition most other people cannot obtain if you happen to end up pursuing a career somewhere other than the NFL. More than enough.

People need to learn the difference between revenue and profit.

So, what do you think all of that equates to as a salary (if there was one)? Is it fair for the people that put in the blood, sweat, and tears for our entertainment and enjoyment to be reduced to a free education and state of the art training facilities? Some of which some schools don’t really have (G5/FCS).

You think all that is enough compared to the people that show up with cameras and televise it, and sells ad space while these kids are working their asses off every year?

That and the fact that the SCOTUS ruled against em and the states passed the laws afterword.

The NCAA fought NIL tooth and nail.

yes. Those athletes are worthless without the hundreds of millions to billions of dollars the schools invest in the programs, assuming all the financial risk. Free school plus free food plus free everything else, free medical care, and the chance to be exposed to millions of people an be to NFL teams is enough

It has been for nearly 150 years. Kids fighting tooth and nail for those spots with or without NIL

And your point about G5/ FCS is spot on, just the opposite of how you intended it. Those kids aren’t getting NIL $$ now or in the future. The very best kids at the very biggest schools getting paid, everyone else is not…..same as it ever was

How come Mizzou wasn't able to recruit 4* and 5* players out of HS before NIL. After NIL Boom! Mizzou started realing in 4* and 5* players. How that is bad for Mizzou? I am for anything to help Mizzou to compete for top players! F8ck off!

Tell me you're an anti-capitalist without actually telling me you're an anti-capitalist.

And those programs are worthless without those very talented athletes. You think people are gonna invest billions to see your fatass run around a field?

That is just one player! That recruiting class only had one 5*, one 4*, some 3* and few 2* recruits. There are more 4* and 5* players in this recruiting class. Mizzou last 6 or so recruiting classes combined doesn't have that many 4* and 5* players on the team that were recruited out of HS.

Still waiting to hear about all those NIL deals.

You do know it's against NIL rules to use a NIL deal to sign a athlete, correct?

Mizzou never had more than 2 recruits who were either one 5* and one 4* or two 4* recruits in a recruiting class. There could be one with 3 in one class but no two 5* in a class. This is the first time Mizzou recruited seven 4* recruits and one 5* in a class. This is a huge jump from any previous recruiting classes.
