Imagine if you were really smart, got a full ride to LSU for academics, and then they told you that you couldnt make any money while you were in college using what you were learning at LSU because a full ride and state of the art facilities was enough.

No, it is not, if a player balls out he deserves to be paid if he and a company agree to terms.

I do not agree that a player should get a NIL deal before he ever plays a game in college though.

My NIL prediction is that new coaches get like 2-3 years tops to show improvement before they get canned now. When boosters cut the tap off you can’t play around with a coach who is dead in the water. No giving them 4-5 years to right the ship

Is that what you think is going on here? Just honest kids trying to make some beer $$ throwing a camp together?

Answer my question.

Would you play in a Fantasy Football League where 3 or 4 players in the league basically had unlimited funds to purchase their team. Everybody else has limits. Would you play in that league?

This is what college football will turn into. It will ruin it.

Obviously it’s not, but I’ll take ripping the bandaid off now and working on making it better as we go along over just saying screw the players

You do know it's against NIL rules to use a NIL deal to sign a athlete, correct?

BINGO!! Rumblings indicate the NCAA is preparing to drive that point home. Four or five institutions have had their names thrown around, at least ONE a SEC member. I expect those found guilty to be made examples and other institutions realize THAT is not the path to follow.

Sort of Ironic considering that currently there are 3 or 4 teams who are consistently in the playoffs every year or every other year

You can like something overall without liking certain aspects. I don’t know if there needs to be a cap instituted, maybe they are eligible get deals whenever they play in X number of games, maybe there’s a cap per player by year with upperclassmen eligible to earn the most. I think you’re throwing the baby out with the bath water if you want to scrap the whole thing, but changes are necessary (and coming imo).

Bwahaha. The NCAA will give some wrist slaps and then limp away to its hole where it can pretend to have any relevance.

imagine a player like Bryce Young or Derek Stingley or Matt Corral or James Cook Twitch streaming during the off-season/summer months and getting paid to play video games via Prime subscriptions and PayPal donations. some of the cocksuckers in here are against that.

"hey guys, my name is Bryce Young and I'm the starting QB for the Alabama Crimson Tide. come hang out with me and watch me play Madden today from 3-5pm. Twitch handle is Heisman_Winner_85. don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel. and if you want to donate, here's my paypal info. see ya soon!"

Dan Mullens, Jeremy Pruitt, Jimmy Lake, Willie Taggart, Chad Morris, Joe Moorhead, Manny Diaz, to name a few. Where have you been?

We've been in the era of the quick hook since we went to the playoff or bust route.

All of those were either just plain terrible or had other issues (like with Mullen him just not recruiting)

Exactly where were the players "getting screwed"? From where I sit it looked like they were pretty excited about their screwing if thats what was happening to them.

California passed a law. Everyone had to follow suit or forfeit the best talent in the country to the west coast.

They weren't. A football scholarship is worth a hell of a lot of money.

Will destroy college football in a few years.

Let's be honest... this only applies to a minority of players. Most are worried about getting to the NFL and not worried about after they get washed out or done due to injury.

If it were done correctly, it would be based on jersey sales and public appearances.

It wasn't intended to be a way to bribe kids to attend your school for one year.
