Recruiting in the state of FL just got exponentially harder:
-Replaced Mullen who didn’t recruit with Napier who does
-Replaced a bottom tier recruiting staff at UF with a bunch of top tier guys
-Replaced Diaz at the U with Cristobol along with a new plan for an on campus stadium

The only positives down there are that the mid tier schools like UCF are trending down and FSU doesn’t have its “stuff” together.

I’d argue recruiting the SEC footprint has never been harder than it is for next year:
-Texas and A&M going buckwild with NIL in that market
- Clemson keeping kids home in the Carolinas
-Lane and Leech doing well in MS
-Smart crushing it on the trail in GA
-Kelly bringing back Wilson to hold down LA
-Saban recruiting off two Heismans and another championship in Tuscaloosa

There just isn’t any room to breathe right now.

So outstanding recruiters are only good for recruiting one state? No way that Raymond's talent could extend into the FL market? Pretty sure that LSU would have rather retained him.

Someone even made the brilliant suggestion that UF should recruit within the state. My fricking mind is blown with that staggering bit of advice. The genius of that unheard of strategy is truly something to behold.

Is this the level of high IQ commentary I can expect here?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jajuan Seider join the staff as well. Things from a recruiting standpoint are probably going to take a 180 at Florida since Mullen wasn’t a “closer” and his staff didn’t really care about recruiting because he didn’t. Exciting times for Florida fans right now although it won’t necessarily show in this class. I expect moving forward things will change.

Dude, Kelly isn't winning an NC at LSU.

Dude Napier aint winning no NC at UF. You got a coach that has won nothing but 1 sunbelt title at University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Let that sink in! Got fired from Clemson and you act like you poached some great coach LOL. You can rag on Kelly all you want and say he wont win a NC at LSU. You forget Les Miles And O won a title at LSU what makes you think Kelly cant? He will have full access to the best players in the state of La. while Napier will be battling FSU, Miami, UGa etc.. for top players in Fl. I'll go out on a limb and say Kelly wins a NC @ LSU before your unproven coach even stiffs the playoff.

LOL that the OP thinks he is done hiring coaches and will focus on Louisiana. It has been a week.

I had some LSU fans imply that because he was at lil ol ULL that he never evaluated top players in the state or around him

Yet he was their current 5 star QBs first offer. Hhhmmm

seems to be an odd strategy considering how much talent will be in his backyard at Florida.

Completely agree with this. Louisiana per capita has world class talent, but Florida is a gold mine right now due to all of their schools struggling the past few years. His first order of business should be locking down Florida.

Did you know that Coach O won and it wasn't because of him. It was the one quarterback and 2 assistants coaches. That is why O was fired two years later! Plus Most SEC schools hired a much better coach than the one they had before. Isn't that why LSU was able to win? Not likely will repeat a championship if there is much better competition in the SEC. There were 10 HC changes in the last 2 years in the SEC. That is a lot! Some that wasn't fired recently got much stronger.

Corey Raymond has recruited Florida for years with some success. He will kill it wearing Gator gear.

Love the Raymond and Toney hires. I'll wait and see on Jabbar.

Their located in fla of course they will be recruiting that area heavily.

Hell some of Raymond's biggest gets were out of state.

Napier is nothing more than a man who tries his best to be Saban. Even as far as to use his tactics, despite having an entire well of resources at his disposal.

Nobody could duplicate Saban. They all try to go to Saban’s Coaching school for wayward delinquents and it rarely works out lol.
