Texas D is very good--too early to tell if elite or not. But, as stated passing game isn't gonna scare anyone.

Ditto AU.
how can you not be impressed that our idiot HC didn’t try to force the passing game when we were averaging 6 ypc on the ground like he did multiple times last year

3) LSU looks like the best team in the SEC. Solid on both sides of the ball against a quality opponent.

LSU looked and played like a team on a mission…real good showing!!

Ohio State's offense started deep in their own end on the majority of our drives which really limited the playcalling, especially with a brand new qb. Ryan Day basically said the defense was playing so good he just kept the offense super conservative so Sayin wasn't put in position to make a mistake that could shake him up with the rest of the season still to go.

We had like 5 total drives that didn't start inside our own 10, and scored TDs on 2 of them. Give Texas credit for dominating the field position game but our offense was really limited being pinned deep all game.

Texas won’t make the SEC championship, but might be the first three loss team in the playoffs. The committee will make excuse after excuse for Mr. Heisman

Agreed. OSU defense appears very good to elite also. Not sure they will face a good offense until the playoffs.

Yea, Texas' defense looked absolutely elite, significantly better than OSU's defense IMHO. Texas needs Arch to not suck arse and they will be absolutely terrifying. If he can be Stetson Bennett Texas is a terrifying team.

That is exactly the Texas game plan. Worked to absolute perfection. Problem was, we were matched up with a defensive and special teams unit that was our mirror.

I have a funny feeling that Texas/OSU is going to be played again for a whole lot more than what was on the line yesterday.

Congratulations on a great win.

Ohio State had two drives >21 yards the entire game. The first courtesy of dumb Texas penalties, the latter on an under thrown 40 yard jump ball that should have been picked

We will see. Ohio State lost a bunch on offense from last year and was starting a new QB. They are going to have some offensive growing pains.

Not convinced Texas’ defense is really elite.

Know you didn't mean that as an insult, but SB was a truly great QB. MVP in 2 playoff and 2 championship games. I don't see Manning doing that, especially based off what we all saw yesterday. Like I said, he appears to be the worse QB in the SEC based off of yesterday, but that's all we have to go off of.

So if he can be offensive MVP of 4 playoff games, come in 3rd for the Heisman and put up 4000 yards, they’ll be fine? Hot take.

or Arch and company actually progress through the season and reach whatever ceiling we have.

And if it doesn't happen? In 2025, 2 years to prepare as a QB is rare. Does Sark have the balls to bench Arch or will he sink with that ship?

They have 4 weeks to tune him up before they face 2 stout defenses in back to back weekends, then 3 of the SECS bottom tier teams then UGA. Heck of an easy schedule all things considered.
