If we're including Texas A&M, the answer would be this one, because this is the most awe inspiring hit ever...

Meanest hit I’ve ever seen. Broke his jaw, and knocked him out cold. WR still doesn’t remember anything to this day …

That was a Thursday game. My roommate was HS teammates with that TCU WR.

That young man was knocked out before he hit the ground.

And the majoroty of these would be a targeting penalty today.

So would I. The days of big hits are gone. It’s just basketball on grass

Completely disagree, the Clooney hit is more well known for circumstances than actual bone jarring. It was a big hit but it was made a bigger deal bc it was vengeance for previous bad officiating and the game changing fumble. Anyone who has ever strapped pads on will tell you the most brutal hits are special teams. A dline man meeting a rb within five yards of the Los won't Crack top 100 hardest hits. Idk the hardest hit ever but id bet big money it took place on special teams, deep pass, or blindside on qb.

Not only get to lay a vicious hit without being flagged, but also get to celebrate the hit.

Football looks like it was more fun then.
Today everyone has to hold their breath waiting for a flag every time someone gets tackled.
