TBH I think deep down Herbstreit is universally liked by the CFB community
He's taken stances or whatever that have annoyed all of us, but I rarely encounter anyone who consistently, permanently dislikes him.

It was much worse. Like fingernails on a chalkboard bad. I always liked Herbie but lost all respect for him when, much like Drew Brees, he elected to bend the knee and honor the dregs of society.
