There's no northern bias there at all.

There's no way Georgia should be that low below Nebraska, Tennessee, Miami, Fla St.. etc.

This is about the biggest 'brands'.

It's a marketing term. It relates to how big of a merch-buying fanbase each one has.

Basically they're telling you how well each team will do in the NIL era.

Why? They aren’t talking “best” football programs, but biggest brands.

Does Georgia sell more clothing& accessories? Does Georgia get better tv ratings when they play a nobody compared to the others when they play a nobody?

Does Nike, or whoever provides them equipment, pay Georgia a larger fee than those above them?

I don’t know the answer, but I doubt you do either.

I actually am closely related to marketing in general, so I think a couple of reasonable assumptions could be made to answer your questions since Georgia has recently won two back-to-back national championships.

Winning sells. And I can say this with qualification since Alabama wins despite being in a much lower population state.

I smell an aggie boycott coming.

Y’all have Texas A&M on the brain 24/7 and turn every last thread on this board now into an Aggie thing. It’s pathological and annoying af. Do better.

Two top 20 brands from the great state of Alabama. Not bad for a population of just 5 million.

I can see it from a west coast bias looking that way.

Half these teams haven’t been relevant for decades.

Ohio State at #1

I'm not sure why everyone is crapping on Nebraska. This list is about the biggest brands, not recent wins.

Notre Dame's average fan is 60+. They are a dying breed.

This is why the SEC has coveted Texas for 40 years.
