It's been 3 years and LSU fans still talk about 2019.

UGA fan and this is a big down vote for me. Trade QBs and it's a slaughter of Bama.

If Bowers and Pickens don't play in the NC game while Williams and Metchie do play... Georgia wins? LOL.

In fairness, Bennett has been playing college football in some form or fashion since 2017. This was Bryce Young's first real season in the college game as his playing time was very limited last year due to the nature of the schedule.
Bro, ya trying too hard. The OP was an obvious troll post. Anyone who really knows football, knows the deal here.

Pickens and Williams played the same amount, so quit whining about them.

You're 100% correct.
But Alabama likely finishes the season 10-4 if he doesn't lead that final drive to defeat Auburn in the Iron Bowl. He definitely doesn't win the Heisman Trophy and the perception of Alabama football in the present day would be markedly different.
And we'll be back in the national championship game next year so he'll get another crack at winning a ring as a starter. He already has one as a back-up.

Can someone explain to me this 4 month delay between UGA winning the championship and then suddenly turning into LSU fans?
With LSU, it was immediate, and it hasn't stopped. It's almost like it took UGA all this time to believe it really happened.
You fooled me into thinking you were going to be one of those "classy" type winners.
Trust me--Bama fans don't like to lose. But we know we'll be back with another shot soon enough. And hopefully it's through UGA.

Alabama loses quite a few more games without Bryce Young. He masked a lot of the problems we had with the offensive line. He definitely deserved the trophy.
And it was still amost good enough to win it all. Looking forward to even a little improvement in line play to see what he can do when not running for his life.

Williams played 1 quarter.

And Metchie, Bryce Young's go-to safety valve on third down, didn't play at all. People also forget that Alabama and Georgia had different offensive philosophies last season. Stetson Bennett plays in an offense that is more akin to the Alabama offenses of 2011 and 2012. They rely more on play action and smash mouth football between the tackles. Alabama in 2021 wasn't exactly an air raid offense but it was definitely pass happy. Young finished only about 150 yards shy of 5,000 yards on the season. Bennett passed for shy of 2,900 yards.
Young losing Metchie and Williams hurt him more than Bennett losing Pickens.

It's tiresome to continue to hear injuries like that as an excuse. That's the entire point of recruiting. Tykee Smith was an All American DB at west virginia, you don't think it would've been nice to have him in December? He was out all year. Adam Anderson was basically our version of will anderson and he didn't play after Jacksonville. Our starting RG was lost for the year in the first game. But we found other people to plug in to make it work. Bama also had highly recruited 4 nad 5 star guys come in replacement, they just faltered and collapsed under the pressure of the biggest game of the year where our guys didn't. Perhaps if brooks and hall had more reps during the year they wouldn't have dropped so many in indy but we'll never know. Nor does it matter.

It's stupid. Injuries happen. Sometimes they help you, sometimes they hurt you. The game is played and a result happens and that's the end. Whining about circumstances is what loser teams do. I'm just hoping most of these continuing injury complaints are just bored trolls.
Alabama losing Metchie and Williams was bad for us. We finally found our offensive rythm as a team in the 2nd half vs Auburn and it completely revolved around Bryce, Metch and J-Mo. It sucks we lost them, but our inability to find another way is kind of just the story of the 2021 team. Lost tons off of 2020, took a while to figure it out and when we did it was fragile. When they both got hurt it destroyed any shot we had. But being able to withstand injuries and all that is part of winning a title. We didn't have it last year. It happens. Especially when you are replacing so many leaders from a team like we were from 2020.

If he did, it was because Georgia didn't want him to play more. Injuries aren't an excuse. You won. You know that if Bowers and Pickens had been injured and Williams and Metchie healthy you would have lost badly. You almost lost anyway.

Bama has traumatized UGA for the past 13 years starting in 2008 and have kept them from winning or competing for multiple national title opportunities.
It's no surprise most of them have no clue what to do or how to handle it now that they've won.
