Young losing Metchie and Williams hurt him more than Bennett losing Pickens.
Now take young off the field and replace him with your backup. You know, like uga did when JTD got hurt.

Because Pickens played a certain number doesn't mean he wasn't available for more if Georgia wanted to play him.

Georgia's backup QB wasn't playing against Bama. The backup transferred to try to win a starting job.

you're referring to like a month ago, right? Daniels was very much our starter at the beginning of the year and was very much still on the team in January.

Biggest 2nd down was the one in the championship game that put UGA in the lead. How quickly the Gumps forget.

You are wrong every time you post this. JTD was our starting qb when he was healthy enough to be

Acl injury recovery protocols limit snaps.

J.T. Daniels was 22-30 for 135 yards with 1 INT in that game against Clemson. It's not like he lit up the scoreboard. And unlike Young, Bennett actually had significant game experience coming into the season. Also...it's not like Daniels suffered a season-ending injury. He was cleared to play the latter half of the season. If he was clearly better than Bennett, Smart would have started him.

clemson had a really good defense, and it was the first game of the year.

what does that have to do with game 15?

correct, so he was hurt half the season. He started game 1. They sat him for game 2 against a scrub as a precaution. He started game 3 and played without issue. He started game 4 and was pulled after the 1st quarter. He wasn't healthy enoguh to play again until November. But by that point things were humming along smoothly enough to where we were fine rolling with stetson. That doesn't negate the fact that JT Daniels was our starting QB in 2022.

They had a 9 month offseason in 2021 to determine who was better and kirby decided JT was, so he started him in game 1.

Y'all need to accept that the guy sucks. Plenty of shite Qbs have won natties

Starting the season has nothing to do with starting later. He was dressed, played in some games after coming back, but Bennett became the starter. So, Daniels transferred so he could start elsewhere.

You know your bama history, then.

You dont know what you dont know.
Daniels' doctors said that he was not healthy enough to play. UGA's doctors disagreed.
Daniels was a good teammate to the QB room. But he (or his medical team) didnt trust the uga medical recommendations. It happens. UGA took Jarvis Jones years ago after the USC medical team didnt clear him. Players move for all sorts of reasons.

He outplayed your QB, throwing to younger WRs who had “less talent” than the guys you had healthy.
Your coach stopped trying to build depth over the years and started featuring certain players to help their stats and his recruiting and it cost him an NC game.

further proving the point that bama injuries weren't really the end all be all determining factor, considering our QB sucked.

Their defense and especially their DL got their asses handed to them in the 4th quarter. Because they don’t have as much talent or depth on the DL as they used to and we switched up the OL mid game due to injury.

We were a very, very good run defense last year and had a solid rotation of run defenders. Georgia just made plays in the run game down the stretch. Don't think it had anything to do with our deficiencies, just a great team making plays. The only teams that had any significant success running on us prior to that were teams running the option. And we didn't have the offensive juice to match that down the stretch, and Georgia took advantage of it. It's what a championship team does when they see a crack - they go for the kill and exploit it. We did it in Atlanta in the pass game and pass defense once we got ahead, Georgia did it in Indy in the run game and defensively once they decided they didn't respect our WRs beating them. Ballgame.
