Oliver Miller, along with Todd Day and Lee Mayberry were Nolan’s first big freshmen class and went to the final four. He was a great player for us and a great person. Sorry to lose him so soon.

R.I.P. He was a part of some great teams at Arkansas. It was sad to see his weight issues in the NBA.

He blocked four shots of Shaq and smothered him, he showed great potential in that LSU game. Still the all time Arkansas leader in blocked shots.

One story in Nolan's book he got caught with two large pizzas under his bed during curfew. Nolan checked on him and pointed at something under the bed covers, Big O said that was nothing. Nolan took it and told him you don't mind it if I give the rest of the pizzas to the rest of the team?..sure Big O said and was in disbelief as Nolan walked out the door.

Another story was that Nolan would invite members of the team to his house for dinner with his wife Rose. Big O came over and was eating something but apparently Nolan got pissed and chased him around the kitchen. Rose got in front of them said not in my kitchen.

The 1990 final four team was Nolan's most talented team. They just get overshadowed by the Duke and UNLV teams of that era.

Have never followed college basketball much but Oliver Miller was a sort of a hero to me when he was at Arkansas. Dude did not "look" like an athlete but we was a superb athlete....and did things that looked impossible. All the while his trunks almost falling off.....dude was just a baller. Hate to hear it.

He was definitely one of a kind and I enjoyed watching him play. I remember one year they came to State and during warmups he just sat on the bench while of the rest of the team warmed up. Bully walked over and offered him a hotdog.
