Stoops is 3-0 against Alabama, hence why I said he would love to start doing it every annum in October
What were all these games? I really dunno

Stoops isn't coming back anytime soon.
And if he does, it's not for Tennessee.

Didn't Stoops legitimately retire? He is still hanging out at OU so it isn't like there is bad blood there.

The guy leaves OU and they immediately get better. You figure it out.

You have idiots like Clay travis who believe he was encouraged to retire.

I am certain beating Franchione and Shula 15 years ago will help in this pipe dream.

Two of these games were pre-Saban. Happened in the Franchione era, 2002-03.

2002 was Fran. 2003 was Shula.

I hear there's a movement to bring back Phil Fulmer to UT

I thought he retired, why come back? He's already a legend at OU.
There were rumors that seemed somewhat credible at the time that Stoops expressed interest in both the Auburn job (in 2012) and the South Carolina job (in 2015). It seemed at the time that Stoops was getting bored in Norman and wanted to coach in the SEC.
When he abruptly retired this past Spring, my immediate thought was that he'd sit out awhile and then take the right job that opened up. If he left Oklahoma to take another job directly, his legendary reputation at Oklahoma would be ruined. But if he sat out a year or two, he could then spin it as, "Hey I thought I wanted to retire but it turns out I got bored.... so I've just now decided to get back into coaching."
He may not end up at Tennessee. But don't be surprised if he's coaching in the SEC within a few years. I have a feeling he's watching things in Gainesville pretty closely. If McElwain tanks and gets fired, my guess is Stoops first choice would be at UF.

Please stop wishing death on me, dad joke guru roadGator. That's the second time in as many days

Death?
Where did I wish death upon you?
I think you wished death upon yourself twice and I just concurred with your wishes.
When I say, "Hey Hillbilly Ricky, please jump off the New River Gorge bridge using a book bag for a parachute" then you can say I wished death upon you.

Stoops is 0-1 vs Florida with his best team ever, so fine by me. Bob Neyland, Bob Stoops, doesn't matter.
