I see zero reason for them to meet in Houston for this announcement if it's anything but going neutral site

I can tell you some folks have been lied to if that's what it is. But it isn't.

Frankly, Texas would go home-and-home with OU but the Okies don't want to. They want to go Jerry World. So leaving it alone was the compromise.
That is wrong on both accounts

I've also heard it isn't neutral site, but the question of why do both of them need to go to Houston to release a presser remains.

Where else would they announce it? They're not going to do austin or college station, so neutral grounds for a joint announcement seems reasonable. So otherwise Dallas? Or San Antonio? And people would be asking the same questions there, too

The press conference statement was probably a stipulation in the contract with the sponsor.

They’re not taking this game to a neutral site. Period.

They are not going to announce a neutral site. This is just a sponsorship deal.

When the contract with the City of Dallas (Dallas mayor was a woman at the time, I forget her name) was renewed - I'll bet you just started your first tee-ball season.

Assuming you played sports.

Stick with what you know.

I will. And that’s much more than you

It’s starting to become obvious that you never even attended Texas if you actually think people want that game move out of the Cotton Bowl

My bad. I see what you are saying although the Sooner fans I know would rather have a home and home too.

I’m sure all the players will be very excited to lift the trophy shaped like a giant Doritos chip after the game

The Mattress Mack Bowl. That's why they're announcing in Houston.

The Cotton logo/sponsor displayed at the presser probably isn’t a coincidence:

No Oklahoma fan that I know wants to move the RRS to Jerry World.

That place is stale.
