Turned down by O'Sullivan and Bianco - I'm sure somebody will eventually want the job

As funny as it would be, there's no chance Bianco turned down LSU. If he did though then that means Godwin turned them down as well since they interviewed on the same day

Dear Players,

This has been a difficult week for all of us, and I appreciate your patience as the LSU rumors swirled. It was not my place to speak about LSU's search, and you know I ddn't chase media reports or social media activity. LSU called and wanted to visit, and I did that. During that time, I stayed in touch with our Athletic Director, Keith Carter, and Camie and I reflected alot. LSU is a special place to our family. I played there, coached there, met Camie there, and several of our kids were born there.

But Ole Miss is uniquely special as well. We have been here 21 years. Our home is in Oxford, our family is in Oxford, you are in Oxford, and our focus is squarely on the future of Ole Miss Baseball. I am the Head Coach of the Ole Miss Rebels and remain proud to say so. I can't wait to get everyone back together this fall!

Exactly. Which is why I said there's no chance he was offered

, more now than ever, since I didn’t get offered the LSU job.

Really though, he’s a good coach. It would be hard to get a better one, and I mean that. I think at this point the Omaha thing isn’t even his fault. Don’t get me wrong, his teams have caused it, but now it’s ingrained in the mentality of the program, every player that puts on the uniform knows the rub, and there probably isn’t anything he personally can do to shake it. It’s super unfortunate, for him and OM, that likely the only way that changes is a shakeup at the top by getting a new coach.

Honestly it’s a lot like Martin at FSU. The hump is a mentality thing and literally becoming the identity of the program. But you can’t dump him because he is such a good coach and is the reason you are good enough to have the dilemma to begin with.

I believe we had his replacement lined up. Bianco didn’t expect to walk out of that interview as anything but the next LSU coach.

You seem extremely dialed in with the LSU athletic department, and your knowledge of the head coaching search

You people are fools if you think that any offers have
been given Ya`ll dont know Woodward. He doesn`t offer any
one that will turn him down. When he does he has the guy in
the bag. Bottom line SW didn`t want Bianco or Casey thats
just the fact.
You people are praying we don`t hire a great coach,ya`ll
dont`t want to get your asses kicked.
