You're higher than a kite. Oregon has the same team this season that lost to Arizona by 30 last season.

Oregon has the better defense, Texas the better offense.

Both games were close wins.

So... about even honestly.

Oregon and Texas offenses are even. Oregon has a better defense.

I do believe Oregon would beat Texas.

You can call me a homer, but I disagree. I think Texas is gathering talent and will be a better team this year, and better down the road.

And more importantly, LSU won at Texas, while Auburn beat Oregon IN Texas. True road games make a huge difference vs neutral field games. Auburn might beat Oregon fairly comfortably in Auburn, and lose outright at Oregon. LSU wins the Texas game in, say, Atlanta by at least a TD more, and might blow them out in Tiger Stadium.
Texas and Oregon are both "worthy opponents", but the LSU win was bigger.

Before it’s all said and done Oregon will have 2-3 losses. Texas may win out or lose to Oklahoma and Iowa St.

so maybe lose one more??? Thats not saying much. LSU may have 2-3 losses before its all said and done.

Both teams won marque games on a national spot light. Both represented the SEC well. leave it at that

We beat Oregon worse in 2011, but Texas was fun too.

The Auburn win shut up a conference and the LSU win shut up the country. There is no hype ,achine like Texas. That win was a massive kick to the nuts of the B12 and all the rest of the country that the SEC is still supreme as even in what could be a weak year it has 4 playoff quality teams which is more than any other conference and it's 1-8 are better than every other conference.

Better and likely more relevant question for CFP purposes: What’s the better loss? Oregon losing to Auburn or Texas losing to LSU?

Utah could be. But then again, Texas isn’t a playoff contender. They aren’t back and still have a soft defense.

Only morons thought Texas was back. And I am still doubtful on Auburn’s success.
