“Now tell me how tough Delaware was?”
Does not really matter as they took care of business and won three games. You beat the team you are playing that day. Simple as that.
We did not on Saturday and as a result finished the weekend 2-1. Disappointing weekend for State thought Sunday was better.

Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself, but by all means keep sharing your thoughts with the board.

How many innings of SEC ball has this "best SS in the country " played? 20 HR's? Just a biased guess. What is factual is the "best rotation in the country" is 1-2 so far. Against 2 unranked teams. A coincidence that these 2 losses did not occur in your Tball-sized stadium?

They were crap. You beat crap teams. You outscore crap teams 35-6, you empty the bench, you run rule them 2 out of 3 games. You play freshman.
Stuff UT should have done against Grand Canyon.

I wouldn’t trade our starters for nobody’s. Our bull pen is ridiculous this year! We are loaded with talent

best SS in the country
According to MLB prospect ranking.
#22 ranked player
Only 4 SS in the country rated higher than him and ranked as 22nd best prospect in the country.
Griffin Merritt- 2022 AAC player of the year. Lead the AAC in homeruns(19) and slugging(.676%.) and OPS (1.077).
Merritt was suspended 1st 2 games this year due to his actions in his last game at Cincy last year.
Adding Ahuna and Merrit to the middle of the lineup will be a big boost. Both these players are ranked in top 100 according to D1 Baseball. Got Merritt back Sunday and look forward to getting Ahuna back by end of the week.

I do believe LSU had the 2nd best staff in the SEC if not the country.
Dollander is rated as the top pitcher in the country according to MLB Prospect Rankings and D1 baseball.
Chase Burns will be a top 10 draft pick next year and one of the top pitchers in the country this year as a sophomore. While true LSU has some great pitchers they do not have a better 1-3 weekend rotation.

If we had Grant we would! He will be back next year though

UT was missing 2 starters, one of which in one of the top SS in the country. Once Merritt and Ahuna are both in the lineup the offense will get better with every game.
Merritt hit .301 with 19 HRs in the AAC and you think he's hitting 20 HRs in the SEC? Why? He went 0-3 with 2 Ks on Sunday fwiw.
And you have no idea how long it's going to take before Ahuna is cleared.
Regardless, two guys don't explain how the rest of your team managed just 11 runs over three games against ok competition. I'd be worried about the other 7 guys hitting in the lineup. LSU had Dylan Crews, the SEC POY, and Jacob Berry, #6 overall draft pick, in the lineup last year. They were great. But having those two guys didn't magically make LSU's entire offense the best in the country.
Tennessee lost all 9 bats from their starting lineup last year. I know you don't want to consider it, but you're going to take a step back when something like that happens.

Grant was going to be the closer, not in the rotation. IMO LSU's rotation will end up being Paul Skenes, Thatcher Hurd, and Chase Shores

You can’t spell DoLLander without 2 L’s!
