Obviously you have never played baseball at a high level.. The talent gap between big time SEC schools and smaller division 1 schools in baseball is so much smaller than football and basketball.. I dislike Tennessee more than anyone, but I played college baseball and I know they are going to be just fine.. People are looking way too much into Tennessee losing 2 games, some teams adjust quicker or have seen more live pitching and will have the advantage early in the year.. As the season goes on the top teams will rise to the top, there is no doubt that Tennessee has incredible talent and is a very dangerous team.

Yeah I only play JUCO baseball, but we beat small D1 schools in the fall… all be it their Fr. and So. players, which is what we were. Baseball is different than football and basketball and the talent gaps are smaller. Anyone can beat anyone and a lot of players are misevaluated.

Still, the whole point of what I said is that Grand Canyon and UC San Diego are not “quality opponents”, but losses do happen.
