Shaun Alexander may have cost Miss State from going back to Atlanta in 1999. MSU had a great defense. Both teams won 10 wins that year. MSU was in a tight game vs Alabama late and I believe had Bama in 3rd and long. Quick short pass to Alexander and he made a guy miss and bulled his way for a huge gain, like 35-40 yards. As Sherril would later say, "That play broke our back"
Bama went on to win and that win eventually cost us the west
The play that cost State that game was the "we covered the decoy" WR screen pump and go to Shamari Buchanan. Shaun was still super gimpy at that point (and even though the SECCG).

Melvin Ingram - 2011 against Georgia: Ran a Fake Punt for 68 yards for a touchdown. Fumble Recovery for a touchdown. Recovered the game-clinching onside kick. I've seen better performances from other players, but for a 6-2 265 lb defensive end it was pretty special to see in-person.

Also pretty young.
When Tebow/UF came to COLA and he had 7 total Tds.
2 passing, 5 rushing.
Won the Heisman that year.

I will always remember Junior for the hit on Reggie Brown vs UGA in '04. Holy crap, I can only imagine the reaction to that kind of hit if it had happened in 2018...

Shaun Alexander against LSU in 1996 comes to mind.
Agreed

Wow. Fournette really was unbelievable.
Phenomenal player and an even better person. I remember him auctioning off his jersey to raise money for the SC flood victims and he regularly reaches out to kids with disabilities and gives them some of his equipment. Proud to call him a Tiger.

Can't believe no one has mentioned McFadden vs LSU in 07. DMC, Hillis and Jones combined for 380 rush yards on 7.3 YPC and 7 total touchdowns with him running the wildcat.

That 1 handed UCF guy that kicked your arse last year

Basically any game Darren McFadden played against us was legendary for him

Henry carrying it 46 times for 271 against Auburn in 2015 was pretty awesome. I'll probably never see a RB carry it that many times in a single game again.

S. Alexander in '96 versus LSU.
J. Reed in '01 versus BAMA. Cab and Cadillac were basically the only pass plays run that day. Speed out or option route to Reed all game long.
D. Henry in '15 versus Auburn.

Jarvis Moss in 2006 vs. South Carolina. Two blocked kicks against us, including the potentially game-winning field goal. Saved UF's season and they wound up winning it all.

I wasn't in attendance for this one but in 07 they crushed us.
Mcfadden had 321 yards rushing (but only one rushing TD) did have a passing TD though.
Jones had 166 and 3 TDs

Aaron Murray against Ole Miss in 2012
21-28
384 yards
4 TD's
Easily the best passing display I've seen a UGA quarterback put on in person. Was absolutely lights out.

I'd have to also go with Shaun Alexander against LSU in '96 as well...
I also recall a what could've been performance, Kerry Goode against Boston College in the '84 season opener...for a little more than 2 quarters, he was the best player on the field (and this was Doug Flutie's Heisman year) and had 297 all-purpose yards. He rushed for a touchdown, caught a pass for another, and returned the second-half kick-off all the way for a third to put Bama up 31-14...
He was electric and could've been an all-time Bama great...but early in the third quarter, he blew his knee out on a toss sweep and the game (Bama lost 38-31), Bama's season, and ultimately his career, took a turn for the worse. Medical technology hadn't caught up with knee injuries back then and, more often than not, it was a career ender. Goode came back and played a couple years later, but he was never the same...

I know this is crazy but Emmitt Smith.....in Youth football. I was the QB he was halfback. Iwe played for the Bellview Packers. We were playing the Brent Raiders (I think). He had the uncanny ability to see how a play developed and know which way to run the ball. He could just sense the path of least resistance.
Usually when future superstars play youth football they are jus physically better. That wasn’t always the case. There were some great football teams in the Pensacola area in that era. A lot of people we played against ended up being college or NFL types. When that group of players got to high school, the State championships ran through Pensacola in the two top classifications. But Emmitt knew the game mentally even at 12 years old. I have no idea of how many yards he ran but I remember him just being able to know how the blocking was going to develop. Everybody says he was slow for a RB even back then but nobody seemed able to catch him.
