I assume you are including kick-off returns?

If so...

Wasn't the muscle, it was the knee injury that slowed him down.

I sure am glad Arenas wont be making LSU's return coverage look like white guys on a basketball court any more

Brandon James was pretty dangerous too

I'm pretty sure he just killed Tennessee every time. I'm not sure he did a lot against other teams.

Abney is certainly the most impressive white returner in SEC history.

I always enjoyed watching Robert Dunn return punts. He only had one good season of it, but his senior season was ridiculous.

Yall made him fumble on one punt or kickoff return in '08, and on another yall roughed him up a little. I think he still had a few good returns that game, but yall challenged him for sure.

All in all, LSU did a good job holding Arenas in check...other than this...

that place was ROCKING when he returned it. I thought for sure Saban had Les by the nads on his first attempt.

Arenas was the best punt returner of my lifetime. I was on the edge of my seat every time he fielded a punt. Too bad teams started pussing out and kicking it short so he couldn't catch it.

He was something like 4 yards from setting the all time NCAA record, while playing against the best conference in the league.

Very well, but he did seem to have something extra for UT every year for some reason.

Mississippi State had a pretty good returner for a couple of years, but I can't remember his name.

If PP7 had played the position for multiple years I would have said him, hands down.

I'll go with Javy.

No flame intended, but PP7 still wouldn't touch Javy even if he had have returned kicks for 3 years.

Anyone who doesn't say Javy Arenas = Homer.

He had the stats, Less than 10 yards shy of all time in the NCAA (which he would have had if it wasn't for penalties), and he was a gamechanger.

Every returner has some brought back.

But I'd give the nod to Arenas.

I didn't say they didn't.

I'm just saying we had a shite ton of block in the backs off the ball. Dre Kirkpatrick had a few.
