I understand the appeal of Tebow's longer career, but I always answer these questions with one thought-
If my life depended on a football game, who am I picking for my team?
Cameron Newton. All day, every day.

It's easy to say that now that Tebow has flunked out of the NFL, but if you took a snapshot of the way you felt while Tebow was playing at Florida, there would be no clear choice.
Newton has transferred his skills to the pro game much better than Tebow, but as a college quarterback, Tebow just refused to lose. I know it got overblown when he was crying and all that shite, but the dude just had a knack for winning football games. As did Cam at Auburn, obviously.

I have to go Tebow, but it is really close with Cam.

Honestly if I had to pick a QB to carry my team for one game or one season, I'd go with Cam.
But Tebow managed to stay relatively healthy and produced every single year of his career. We all know Cam is possibly the most physically talented QB in SEC history, but who knows if he could have replicated his success for multiple years. For all we know he could have pulled a Jameis and had a disappointing second year.

And Cam Newton "led" that talent-deficient Auburn squad to an undefeated season, something Tebow's "leadership" was never able to accomplish a single time with talent in droves residing in Gainesville.
LOL....did all that talent leave with Tebow? How did they go from 13-1 to 8-5 with Urban Meyer still at the helm and then 7-6? Other than Harvin, what skill player from Tebow's tenure is still playing in the NFL? UF's leading ball carrier (Kestahn Moore) in Tebow's Heisman season had 580 yards rushing while Cam had Dyer (1,093) and McCalebb (810). If being the QB of an undefeated team defines "the best" then Bob Griese is the greatest NFL QB that ever lived.

I think ability to repeat the one magical year puts Tim over the top, think about it since Tim left we've had what 4 guys comeback post Heisman and only Tim had anywhere near a repeat year much less 2 (2008 was arguably the most efficient year any SEC Qb has ever had).

I think career matters. Cam was great, but it was only one year. Tebow's career is one of the best of all time, Cam had one of the great seasons of all time.
If only comparing Cam to Tebow's Heisman year, he still ended up with fewer passing yards, fewer passing TD's, more interceptions and fewer rushing TD's so it's not like that one season was so much better than anything Tebow did.

I assume you mean "leadership style" since Cam Newton was the undisputed leader of that 2010 Auburn squad.

Pretty sure what they mean to say when they say "Tim Tebow's leadership" is "Tim Tebow's pale skin".

Tebow lost a game and had...
Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy, Riley Cooper, David Nelson, Aaron Hernandez, Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey.
Cam went undefeated and had...
Onterrio McCalebb, who is playing defense now.
Cam.

The more I think about it, the more I lean Cam Newton. Changing my vote to Cam.
