Oh look, another "GSN" article/ranking linked by a poster with fewer than 200 posts.
That has never happened before....
Stop clickbaiting everybody with this site that nobody cares about.

Still didn't answer my original question. What specifically was wrong with his initial post? It was the truth, inconvenient though it may be.

Watching Mississippians argue about who is more racist is amusing

Maybe if State had a prettier helmet it might assist in lessening the Grand Canyon size deficit between Egg Bowl wins and losses, and maybe, just maybe, State might eek above .500 all time for total football programs wins.
Maybe.
It's just not important to us, baw. We know that all you Ole Miss fans have left is "the good ol' days". Hang on to all those wins in the 50s and 60s when the coloreds knew their role and a plantation owner strutted up and down the sidelines. I know that pretty helmet helps you remember those good ol' days, and it brings you some comfort when you otherwise have to process the fact that you're a six point underdog to Memphis fricking State.
Old times there are not forgotten.

Alabama and Auburn. Easily.

That wasn't a personal attack. It wasn't even an attack.
OP mentioned Ole Miss. I gave a valid reason to vote for something else.

Alabama's helmets look like shite but they're cool cuz TRADITION.
I respect all schools that never change their uniform/helmet designs.

The fact that anytime you see a school with numbers on their helmet you automatically think of Alabama is about as unique as any helmet in football along with Michigan.
Also - Alabama and Auburn's helmets and jerseys looking exactly the same as they looked from 1970-2019 is pretty badass, IMHO

One of these days Bama is going to bring back their retro white helmets, and not tell anybody. They will run out on the field and everybody is going to freak out.

LonnieUtah…..
You are a bit misinformed.
Yes, Green Bay first began to use the "G" in 1961. However, their "G"--at that time--was not like ours is today.
By the way, the "G" on Green Bay's helmet is not for their name, "Green Bay". Bet you didn't know that. Their "G" stands for "greatness" ( you can find that info on a detailed search about the Green Bay Packers history).
Back to Georgia. The following info below is from the University of Georgia website. Please note: Georgia's "Power G" was first used in 1964....Green Bay liked Georgia's so well that they, with permission from UGA, changed their "G" from a more squared-edged "G" to the more forward-looking "G" of UGA's.
Below is the official information about UGA's and Green Bay's "G", now called by UGA the "Power G".
The University of Georgia OWNS THE COPYWRITE AND REGISTERED TRADEMARK TO THE POWER G---NOT GREEN BAY. You will always find the registered trademark in the lower right side of the "G" on Georgia paraphernalia, etc.---but, NEVER ON GREEN BAY MERCHANDISE, etc.
***************
In 1963 after becoming the Bulldogs' Head Football Coach, Vince Dooley redesigned the football uniform choosing a red helmet with a black "G" on a white background as the dominant feature of the new uniform for the 1964 season.
He discussed with his staff that a forward-looking "G" would be an appropriate emblem for the helmet of the Georgia team. Dooley had just hired John Donaldson, former Georgia player from 1945 to 1948, as backfield coach. John was keen on the idea of a new image and volunteered his wife, Anne, who had a BFA in commercial art from UGA to design a logo for the new Georgia helmet with the general specifications Dooley had outlined. Dooley accepted Anne's original "G" which fit his vision for a forward look to Georgia's new emblem.
Since the Georgia "G"- though different in design and color- was similar to Green Bay's "G", Coach Dooley thought it best to clear the use of Georgia's new emblem with the NFL team. Athletic Director Joel Eaves called for permission which was granted. However, since its inception in 1961, the Green Bay "G" has been redesigned several times and now looks like Georgia's original 1964 "G." Georgia is proud that the Packers apparently liked the special nuances of the Bulldogs' forward-looking "G."
Georgia's oval "G", eventually replacing Georgia's old block "G" as the official UGA symbol, has stood the test of time. It made its first appearance in the opening game in 1964 and was an immediate hit with the Georgia fans, especially after Dooley's first three teams were so successful--highlighted by the 1966 SEC Championship.
