Best football team from each SEC school in the modern day AND past?

Somewhat of a spinoff of the TV ratings thread.


What is your school's best team in recent history and the past? I won't provide an arbitrary timeline or anything like that. Just what each poster deems is the past and fairly recent.


My modern day pick for best team would actually be Nick's 2009 squad. That team had a purpose. It was a loaded squad as well all across the board. They wouldn't be denied and it showed in the Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida game that year. A good bit of players from the 2011 starting 11 on defense for Bama was on the depth chart for the team as well. If I'm correct, they also played the toughest schedule in the nation and went a perfect 14-0.

Just from what I've heard, I would say the 1961 team from back in the Bear days. I can't say much about it since that team was 33 years before I was born. That's really all I have to say I suppose based on what most people I hear say about it.
