If we're going off of pure talent, it's Patrick Willis hands down.

Lol. Tyrann mathieu for LSU? Really?

As good of a player he was/is, he isn't the best player to ever play at LSU. He's top 10 no doubt, but the best? No way.

Also, LOL @ miss state for Dak Prescott being the best player in their programs history. It's very true that he is, but damn, what does that say about your football program? Good Lord.

I think Derrick Thomas is probably nearly unanimous among Bama fans who know what he did.

Sadly, many fans are so dazzled by offense plays that they cannot seem to grasp that the Pro Bowl quarterback might not be as great a player as the Pro Bowl linebacker who just sacked him.

I mean he’s better than any QB that LSU has had in year so... he also did a lot for branding our program and in the community.

ETA: I take that back. After looking st career stats, Dak is actually better than any Qb that LSU has had. Ever. And it’s not even very close really.

You live on this board for Miss State and no he's not the best ever. The NFL says who is the best ever and this apparently seems to show most recent at MSU you clown.

It also says without Dak we beat your arse last year without him by a score of 37-7. Eat that!!!

Von Miller ring a bell? He's one of those guys who had his name thrown around like Clowney was for heisman votes. Oh and he's the best player in the NFL.

I would love to see David Palmer play in a college offense today.

Tyrann was great for 1 season, was a heisman finalist and has turned out to be a pretty good pro. Kevin Faulk is the SEC record holder for most career all-purpose yards, and has 3 super bowl rings. You decide.

How has Steve Tanneyhill not been mentioned by a single South Carolina fan? His glorious head of hair should makeep him top 5 on its own
