Bama has 13 poll era titles to your 2. If that fact helps you sleep better at night so be it.

Teams cry about Bama but other teams do the same. Much Bama jealousy abounds I guess.

Love me some Mike Leach. If he would ever get a defense.

Mark Richt coached at Georgia for 15 years, won 145 games and 5 division titles. Plus he had to go head-to-head with Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier in his own division. You’re not going to find a coach in the SEC with a better résumé than that without a title.

Agreed. Richt was a class act & would have liked to see him get one at UGA.

The East was stout during his time.

I'll go with Terry Donahue nationally (don't think he ever lost a Rose Bowl) and agree with Dye in the SEC.

Always wondered what he woulda done at UGA had Dooley not changed his mind about the Auburn job

I always liked Richt - if Murray spikes that ball in 2012 I think he gets a Natty.

Good call on Richt. But not spiking the ball wasn’t the problem. It was his receiver catching a tipped ball as he fell down.

SEC- Gary Pinkel. Made Mizzou respectable and did a hell of a job with 3*’s.

Nationally- Bill Snyder.

Tuberville had some pretty good teams there for a while before it all came toppling down at the end. Kinda got unlucky that USC and Oklahoma got picked over them when they went undefeated. Just a few years later there's 0 chance an undefeated SEC team gets left out.

Auburn is fortunate they didn't get picked over Oklahoma to play USC, because if they did there would be no discussion. USC would have obliterated Auburn. No one was beating USC that night.
