Besides Alabama fans, who can state the best case for their team to win the SEC this year?

I know very little about other teams so I won't pretend to. Who has the best shot?

LSU MIGHT have an offense that doesn't try to attack the teeth of the Alabama defense for the first time in 7 or 8 years.
Emphasis on might.

Disclaimer: I'm not predicting this.
The case would be that Smart and Eason make a big second year leap, and UGA has a really talented team. They have a big year, win the East, and pull off a win over Alabama in Atlanta.

Arkansas returns 4/5 of the offensive line. Has the best pro-style QB in the league who is a 5th year senior that lit up Bama for over 300 last season. Running game and TE's will be great as usual. We lost a lot of experience at WR but replace it with faster, taller talent.
Defense should take a step forward with Rhoad's assuming DC job and switching to a 3-4. Agim had a stellar freshman year and will be one of the best DE's in the league this year. Our two top LB's return and are healthy. Our CB's are underrated.
With Missouri and USC as our east games, our schedule sets up pretty well. If Arkansas can win one on the road b/w Bama and LSU, and beat AU at home, then winning the west is not out of the question. LSU and AU are winnable games, even if Arkansas enters as the underdog.

Almost all of the actual production being when his team was down 24+ points, but, proceed.

LSU will have a pretty good run blocking OL and a very hard triple-option-esque run scheme to go along with it. Our RB corps is loaded and every play should be a touchdown threat. The QB, Etling, is average enough to make big plays off of play action and the WR corps is loaded along with the RB corps. Scoring 40 pts a game (including non-conference) is not unreasonable with Canada as OC.
The defense will be great again under Aranda. There's a mixture of grizzled vets and young guys who will play very early. The LB corps is probably the best at LSU in at least 10 years and will play a huge role this season with Aranda's full scheme likely implemented. The defensive backs should be great as well with two lockdown corners and a reliable safety returning. Two young guys in Delpit and Vincent will be relied upon to make plays early so there may be some growing pains.
Overall I think the defense will be good enough to keep LSU in every game this season barring injuries, of course. The offense likely won't be outstanding but anything is better than what Miles and Cam Cameron ran. I've predicted a 9-3 year with losses to 3 out of Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Tennessee. There's very few teams that will have the line talent to beat LSU's defense and there's going to be too much on offense for a lot of team's defenses to handle.
To win the SEC this year LSU must stay healthy, the OL has to step up after losing three starters, and the young guys on defense have to step up when needed. If all those things happen, I can see LSU going to Atlanta.

It has to be AU. Anyone that says otherwise is only hoping. Right now, it's AU

Gotta think LSU, AUB, or UGA are three strongest possibilities to win the SEC if Bama doesn't.
In that order IMO.

Would like to see all this happen except the last part. Good luck guys.

But we are supposed to watch out for a team that is quarterbacked by Danny Eitling, coached by Ed Orgeron, and that hasn't finished above 3rd place in the western division since 2012. Thanks for the laugh
