This is pretty common, huh? Though it probably has less to do with the surgery and more to do with the fact that at 19-20 years old you're still a growing boy. At that age you take a year off and come back naturally bigger and stronger.

It happens. The exit velocity when hit square is enough to get some out.

It was a privilege seeing him play live at UT. He’s developed a cutter now as well

You’re right but also wrong. The athletes in college who have TJ surgery, I think you’re dead on. But the pros in the league who are older- they also pick up velocity. That surgery tightens everything back up and you will gain velocity. Hell of a world we are living in.
