So we're catering to a minority, now?

Im sorry, what part of "I never said you said that" did you not understand?
Golfer was the one I was referencing.
Again, everything in this thread isn't revolving around you.

Yeah, I think there still is some serious GT flame though. You guys have just wrecked their shite lately. The 500 yards rushing game, when it happened, really sent the guy I know into a rage, so there is definitely still something there.

When you are passively talking to Dawg about something without reference to anyone's name, and it's all basically the same conversation, what do you expect but some level of confusion?

The point being that where do we stop the "rivalry" discussion.
AU/UGA is only a rivalry because they've played 110+ times.

There's more to the rivalry than that.

I keep asking this as well.

I argue that the line is, if the fringe of your fanbase isn't willing to kill old, historic trees for perceived slights, you aren't a rivalry worth catering to. j/k

Do you hate UGA more than Bama?

I'm sorry. Next time I have a conversation with another poster on here regarding something, I'll be sure to mention the poster I'm specifically referencing so as not to confuse you.

thats exactly my point. the GT rivalry is unique in that we don't really relish wins vs them but when we lose it is completely unbearable. we expect to win and win often now and when we lose those little shits come out of no where. it really is like losing to your little brother and for the next 365 days you won't forget it. 2008 helped remind everyone how much we truly hate Georgia Tech.
that's why i believe that is our #1 rival

I can't wait to hear this non-answer with him understanding how this will compromise his stance on scheduling.

You're telling me that if you stood at College and Broad and polled everyone who walked by that if they had to choose, they would pick the Auburn game over the Florida game?

So if Auburn hates Bama more that automatically precludes them for demanding that they play Georgia each and every year?
When has Auburn or Georgia ever suggested they would be open to not playing every year? When have they ever put that possibility on the table?
Have Auburn or Georgia ever been anything other than 1000% crystal clear about their strong desire to play each and every year?

I hate Bama more. But just below Bama is my hate for UGA followed by a hate for Clemson (long story).
Bama hate comes from living in Birmingham, coupled with the overly obnoxious Bama fans who live in Auburn.
UGA hate comes from living so close to UGA, and having to put up with their fans over years of work/school. I'm equally happy when both schools lose.

What do you mean "and there you have it?" Did you think that I didn't realize this before I came on this thread? Or last year when I felt the same way. Or ten years ago when I felt the same way? You think some thread on this board was an epiphany?
The only reason they have leverage is because OM would be dumb to compromise their ability to more easily make the title game. They avoid UF, play Vandy. Of course they're on board with this schedule. The power isn't just with the four, but with the system itself.
I could segway into a political party analogy here but won't.

The problem with all this is that CBS and ESPN are not going to be happy when they learn that they will be losing the annual OleMiss-Vandy, MissSt-Kentucky, USC-A&M, and Arky-Mizzou games.
The SEC wouldn't be what it is today without those kind of games.
