LSU's whining is a lot like Texas.
Yeah, that's why the SEC is joking referred to as the Red Elephant Club.
Clearly LSU wields so much political power that we're running other schools out of the conference.

If you moved UT to the West today, the permanent opponent would go away and 6-2 would be the model.

That wasn't a personal attack. If I were to call you a pussy, hypothetically speaking, based on your last comment, is an ad hominem. Saying that you are not smart, is also an ad hominem. But not what I previously said.

Pretty sure we're past that point bro.

How have you managed to convince yourself of this?

I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall at this point because it's nothing short of remarkable that you don't understand this.

I feel like I'm trying to teach a fourth grader how to add fractions.

Even Auburn fans haven't been this arbitrary in arguing that its schedule over the last 12 years is harder than Bama's and we will use any kind of arbitrary date range to show superiority over Bama.

No, if you look from the "I'm not biased lens" you would inherently understand that LSU playing UF every year no matter what for the sake of dumb rivalries nobody gives a shite about, is inherently unfair compared to a team playing Vandy every year. If you rotate, you would inherently undo that bias and allow the ebb and flow of program success dictate the difficulty of your schedule.

You're an Auburn fan in a debate on the constants. The only person emotionally invested in this is your rivalry causing this inequity.

If this happens, do I get to call all those who oppose crybabies? Ya'll would get the competitive and interesting games in which ya'll have been saying the more the merrier, so everybody wins!

Under a 6-2 model, you play teams from the other side twice every 6 years.
Under a 6-1-1 model, you play teams from the other side twice every 12 years.
Pretty much /thread there.
Any fan outside UT/Bama/Aub/UGA that favors a 6-1-1 over a 6-2 model is simply put: stupid.
And the only reason I think those four schools have a legitimate gripe is because I understand the tradition/history associated with those two games. I think it's fine if those four schools keep those two games and they should not be forced to lose those games on an annual basis, but there's no question the rest of the league should rotate. The SEC and college football aren't going to crumble after losing the historic annual matchups of OleMiss-Vandy and MissSt-Kentucky and LSU-Florida and USC-A&M.
All that said, there's an easy compromise that will be adopted by the SEC, probably beginning in 2014. Those four schools keep their annual game, and the rest of the 10 league teams will rotate.

But that's the problem. It's a conflict of interest. We need OM to vote against a structure that they benefit from. It's like having a board of directors that are supposed to police themselves.

It was grossly unfair that LSU had to play Florida the last two years. Not including LSU, Florida lost 7 conference games over the last 2 years. Clearly, they were a juggernaut that prevented us from reaching Atlanta.
Furthermore, it was grossly unfair that we had to play Tennesee the last 2 years. They damn near beat us in 2010.
And what is this crap that we have to play South Carolina this year? South Carolina is finally relevant. That's grossly unfair. frick that noise. That game should NOT count towards the standings. I'm sure Spurrier would agree.
Bring on North Texas.
