Maybe, but we know how to safely build bonfires.

Fortunately we have you to temper our positive conclusions.

I’d be concerned too if I wasn’t an LSU fan

Here's something to chew on, by season's end (if not sooner) a win over Clemson will mean a whole lot less than it used to. Clemson may finish below .500 this season.

Congrats on beating perineal power UTEP.

Much more of a statement than beating Clemson.

Credit where credit is due. LSU looked good and handled business vs Clemson.

Going to take a few weeks to see what’s what to know what it means.

A lot of good teams in the league this year that can win the conference. I think who wins it will come down to depth, match ups and game planning.

It’s honestly a little mind-boggling to me that some of you can’t give LSU credit for playing an almost complete game from start to finish. There always seems to be a caveat, Clemson is a bad team, instead of considering that maybe LSU’s offense, defense, and coaching staff simply made them look worse than expected.

Just curious, did you have the same reaction when OU beat UTEP? Did you say maybe everyone should slow their roll because UTEP only won two games last year, or have you already penciled the Sooners into the CFP?

Poor sec rant
They thought they were gonna get a victory lap last night into today after their patsy schedule
Now they wake up and think a swac team could beat Clemson

Before you anoint LSU…

LSU had a dominant, statement win against a good opponent.

Not sure why that is hard to acknowledge. They did it on top of all of the distractions and outside noise and weather delays.

They clearly have talent and coaching and will be a force as the year goes on.

To your point, yes, it is week one. Yes, we often announce Sept Heismans and Champs that regress over the season. But, LSU has a lot of talent and not a lot of tape to study. Easily looked like a contender for a CFP run.

Time will tell. Can Lane manage the emotions and ensure last night and early success doesn't steam roll into catastrophic success leading to a surprise or two? If so, watch out.

I know y’all don’t remember this, but people here said the same thing when we said we knew we had a team after Ga Southern in 2019.

Opponent doesn’t matter.
We clearly have a squad here.

Buckle up bitches.

This. Clemson is a bad team? What the frick is Tennessee State, UTEP, ECU, and Ball State then? Because LSU beat an objectively better team with objectively better players like they were a G5 or HBCU.

I thought this was the most dominant performance I’d seen until I remembered Oklahoma in 2019
