Good for him.

I have a lot of respect for Bryant. Some for Saban. But Bama fans can kiss my arse.

how about the stimulus package...

I believe that money went largely to banks - not known to be a bastion of liberalism.

Dude, face it, you've been programmed to believe that Obama was the worstest evah, when in fact, he was simply another guy in a suit doing a sub-standard job.

Forget it, that's the last post on politics I'll make today.

I wouldn’t classify Bryant as a gentleman. He was about as poor and blue collar as it got growing up in Arkansas in the 20s and 30s.

He also won that NC by beating Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl. Even though we were ranked 6th, I can remember our fans not even giving us a chance in that game.

Are you stupid? Why wouldn't I celebrate the most famous play in Georgia football history?

Change title to Alabama fans actually believe Bear Bryant once told the POTUS to take a message.

Bryant came from Fordyce, these were hard people. My father in law and his family came from that area. It's surprising how many who came from that upbringing were successful in their lives.

It seemed to be a pocket of hard work and reward type of people.

So it was a direct result of bush’s Presidency even though it began 6 years prior to him being president?

I’m sure everyone saw this recently on ESPN 150 documentary but after keeping Keith Jackson waiting he walked up and ask you were waiting for an interview and Keith responded “Not anymore” and left. Also had a Bear Bryant quote I liked when talking about playing for ties. Just paraphrasing but he said something along the lines that we don’t play for ties and a lot of the kids playing college football will soon be shipped to Vietnam and I hope they aren’t going there for a tie either.
