I would think that it is beneficial for a player from the SEC to win the Heisman trophy. However this is the rant and we all root against each other so maybe you aren't. I'm curious to know which side you sit on.

From the perspective that he is most deserving, yes. From the perspective that LSU fans on this site have made it their season and will totally meltdown if he doesn't win, no. So, for me, it's win-win.

He seems like a decent kid and let’s be honest, without him you lose a lot more than you win. To me, that’s the definition of a Heisman candidate.
