Nice to see Bama fans now all of sudden think that OOC schedules and schedules in general matter. Guess it is all a matter of perspective.

They both feasted off cupcakes with big offenses.
One stepped up to the SEC and had great success maximizing the talent he had available, now he's proven to be an average - above average coach.

One is still feasting off cupcakes with a big offense so who really knows what he's capable of.

for how awkward and slightly homoerotic a&ms traditions are, they are all still infinitely better than that stupid fricking line. that's how terrible it is

Have to go with Briles. He's proved he's more than RGIII while Sumlin has only had consistant success with Johnny. If Sumlin can hang around long enough and get a good DC, look out.

In 2019 Baylor has something scheduled called Incarnate Word. Now that's Baylor bold.

Could Saban deliver consecutive conference championships at Baylor or TCU for that matter? I doubt it.

By the committee's own rankings, Baylor had the two best wins of the top teams. Baylor beat #6 and #11. Ohio State beat #8 and #18. By what logic do you put tOSU ahead? Baylor also soundly beat Oklahoma twice on either side of it's Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama. And if Baylor isn't the Big12 champ, how'd they end up in the Cotton Bowl as the best team from the conference?

Isn't it cute how you ignore where those games were played...Playing a top 10 team on the road is not the same as playing them in the confines of your own stadium. OSU's win by double digits over #8 is more impressive than Baylor's win over TCU by 3. Any football coach will tell you that

You're marquee OOC game next year is Syracuse. And you play Florida every year.

While they will never publicly admit it (and I have no way to prove it) the entire ranking controversy of the preceding weeks was a simple ploy to get people to watch games they otherwise would not watch.

Very few people would have tuned in to see K-State v. Baylor outside the Big 12 viewing audience. With the controversy it all of a sudden became engaging TV.

The committee was full of smart people who knew exactly what they were doing and they got a huge out with OSU winning 59-0.

Tin foil hat fully on
Why do people think that businesses which promote themselves and do what makes them most profitable is some sort of conspiracy theory?

It's business. PERIOD!

Why would any of you think that the business of college football would be run any different than any other big business?

with their post playoff melt. Of course when your head coach acts like a bitch the fans will follow suit.
@Bamafan for sucker punching ANYONE who isn't getting preferential treatment.

I don't understand your point TX Tiger. I agree with you. The conspiracy, if you even want to call it that, is how unforthcoming the committee is about their selection process and motives.

I'm fine with renaming it Standard Business Practices if you want.

WTF did they expect would happen with no marquee OOC game/win and no conf champ game/win?

They have literally less wins...

They are as forthcoming as they can be without admitting college football is no different than WWE.

Their desperate attempt to conceal this can only be described as pathetic.

I mean seriously, Condi Rice, a general...

This dog and pony show was a joke from the start. Who are they fooling?

Yes but I also saw our AD say just last Monday they are in talks with other P5 schools to schedule future non conference games.

Because they were ranked 6 and it was biting them in the arse. Until it mattered, they were chicken shite. Which is typical Baylor.
