Smells like money to me.

Yep. All the steamers they leave on the field after they get beat.

You’re probably just confusing the smell of arse-beatings for the last twenty years in Baton Rouge with what it normally smells like here.

c'mon dude. Not going to smell anything down there you can't smell in Birmingham.
No, dude. A lot of cities in Louisiana smell particularly bad. There are a lot of paper mills in the state (looking at you, Shreveport) and I think that's a combination of that and something in the water there that gives air there a faint sulfury scent that makes you want to hold your nose.
Add in the vague taint of shame residents give off because they live in the state and it becomes almost unbearable.

My dad's side is all from there...inexplicably, over half of them stayed. I can't f***ing stand BR. The crime, the stench from the chemical plants, the trash in the streets and along the levies. The garden district which has a lot of character, but is incredibly over-priced and never more than 1 street away from hoodrats (so naturally, it's crime ridden). How anyone would want to live there is beyond me. That constant smell of sour milk...the ubiquity of abject poverty. Jesus Christ....why don't y'all get the hell out of there??

When I worked in Baton Rouge our Corporate Office in TN wanted all their hospitals to use Maxwell House because they got a good deal. We just laughed and told them it would not work in Louisiana.
Community >>>> Maxwell
Even freshly brewed Maxwell tastes like sitting-on-the-burner-all-day gas station coffee.

I've been to Opelieka. I can't believe you have the audacity to criticize literally any other location on the planet.

I don't think many have a choice. I'm bringing air freshener in my suitcase, since I will be in Shreveport for a day this week

That's not even Louisiana.

Probably the ExxonMobil refinery
And y’all shouldn’t mock towns with petrochemical industries. The hard work in states like MS, LA, Texas, and yes even California keeps your gasoline dirt cheap you cuck

No, it stinks enough here without Auburn fans showing up and adding to it. Stay home.

Shreveport doesn’t have a paper mill or bad smell. You must be thinking of West Monroe
Posted on 10/23/19 at 1:09 pm to warrreagle93
Persistent odor from 2 years ago when Auburn visited.
