If all else is equal, sure. If killing a longstanding rivalry allows them to promote a game that will net them higher short term profits they will do it without a second thought.

I still don’t understand why they would put you with OU.

As one who goes to all out of town games every year and enjoys all of them......traveling to Red Stick, Fayetteville and College Station for away games every other year is a bitch as compared to Gainesville, Knoxville or even Columbia.
I'm old school... keep rivalry with LSU, drop Arky and Texas A&M ( geographically) and give us back Florida and Tennessee.

You'd take UT over UGA?

Why would state get Vandy and not us? That makes no sense. I can tell you just threw the Mississippi schools in there at the last minute with no thought.

Not me.... I love going to Starkville and have lost there. Good golf, RV at the horse park. The campus has grown so much. One of our favorite away games. Good people!

What becomes really important is long-standing rivalry games, geographic proximal games, and we want to work with our TV partners a little bit more before we make our final decisions,

So then I guess Tennesse is one of the 3, and then maybe Vandy due to geography? After that I don't know. Could say state since it's our permanent cross over game but I wouldn't call that a rivalry. Will probably be either be them or mizzou unless they give us Florida or something

I did not say that. Georgia is permanent. Take Arky and A&M off give us Tenn and Florida

It's going to be pathetic when they lump. LSU in with A&M and Texas as permanent rivals. It'll be all about propping up Texas to collect the media money.

It's going to be real shitty the first year that LSU and Bama don't have a matchup. For all the shite talking that goes on, that game has produced some of the best matchups over the past 20 years.

When has a college football decision maker ever said this and been serious about it?

My man... I have family who live
off Highland close to the stadium. Been going to Red Stick since 80's. Use to be able to park at old Knapp Hall as long as you stayed off the roots of the oak trees. Now days my old arse has to park out by Walk-On's. Two days of golf at Santa Maria with you rascals, best food in the SEC and always a party. If we lose this rivalry I will have to go to detox!!!!!!

"aTm: Texas, LSU, Arkansas"

I think most Aggies want this trio, but Jimbo let it slip (I think back at media days?) that we're supposed to get LSU, MSU and the Longhorns.

We'll see if they've changed it.

Arkansas: 5 that make sense. Texas, LSU, OU, A&M, and Ole Miss.
Mark my words, we will be stuck with Missouri instead of one of those.
I would prefer LSU, Texas, and OU if I had to pick but would be fine with Ole Miss or A&M.
