I think Vanderbilt is really too high in these things. I know what the RPI numbers may say, but I am not buying their hype.

I think their numbers look pretty good, even better when you consider they didn't get to play Missouri or South Carolina.

You are biased because you swept them, but they've had a good season.

A case can be made Texas is getting th shaft in some of these pathetic rankings

Polls in college baseball and basketball are meaningless. Just like the SEC baseball tournament is meaningless.

Texas won the SEC Championship. They will be anywhere from the #1 to #3 Too National Seed in the NCAA Tournament.

Texas isn’t getting the shaft in the most important things. The things that actually matter.

No, not biased. Everyone talks about how they had a slow start, but that really isnt the case. What is the case is they have been terribly inconsistent this entire season...Start the SEC season losing 2/3 to Auburn...then sweep aTm...then get swept by Arkansas...then catch Florida before they get going and sweep Florida...follow that up by losing the series to Oklahoma...then sweep Georgia...follow that up by losing the series to Ole Miss...then they finish the year against Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky and close out the year 7-2.

RPI 3
ELO 3

That's pretty strong.

I understand your stance, but my opinion remains.

They also have one of the worst offenses in the league. The only teams worse at the plate are SCar, aTm, and Missouri. They pitch it pretty good, but not at the level of say a Texas. They are near the bottom in pretty much every offensive statistical category in the league.

D1 Baseball with Alabama at #23 and really not even that close to hosting is laughable, but it's been the trend all season.

Pretty much what Arkansas has been the last 2 seasons, so I guess they'll lose as a regional host.

It appears LSU is getting the benifit of doubt based on history. Arkansas is better statistically and Texas has had the better season.
College baseball polls function more like power rankings than anything.

IMO

Top 4 National Seeds (in some order)
Arkansas
LSU
North Carolina
Texas

Next 3 National Seeds come from this group - 1 will be left out
Auburn
Georgia
Florida State *
Vanderbilt

Last National Seed comes from this group
Oregon
Oregon State *
they will want a west coast team

* who I would leave out

In honor of our Kansas posters, I'd like to show some respect for the BallHawks.

Heck of a season.

I take exception to this statement, sir.

It's an awesome event and winning the tournament does mean something to the players, coaches, athletic department, university, and many fans/alumni.

Well sir, in 2021 Hogs won the regular season title and Hoover. Yeah us.

Then bombed in the supers against NC State. I'd trade the regular season and Hoover for a natty. Just sayin'
