1297 tickets are freebies for the Knoxville school for The Blind, Peninsula Mental Hospital and Make a Wish kids (they usually are ready to go back to the hospital after the first inning. )

And it's currently raining and 44-ish degrees, so you can bet it's not going to get much higher than 5,490 after tonight. I wouldn't be surprised if that number included the players, managers and concession workers...

wow I assumed it was an exaggeration last weekend when the announcers said more people would be at one game than have attended Missouri home games all season. Guess not

Still amazing to me that a big baseball state like Missouri (seriously) cannot garner any interest for their flagship school's team

My response may piss off a lot of mizzou fans, but someone has to say it.

Kansas city is not a baseball city. Take away the royals last four season and boom, its scary bad. KC cares about Football and basketball.

St Louis is baseball obsessed. but at the pro level. nothing more.

Mizzou baseball will never, ever, be a thing is missouri. I'd love to see what SLUs baseball attendance is, its probably 200, and unlike mizzou, its actually close to st louis, and yet people still dont care. Why? because its college.

So Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas have the least amount of fun things to do? Gotcha

Sure it does. We won the CWS last year and are barely over 50% capacity.

What's Gainesville's excuse? There isn't much going on in that city and you're nowhere near a professional franchise, not that the pro franchises closest have good attendance either. What teams do Florida residents actually support outside the college football teams at FSU and UF? Y'all have a ton of teams and they all have shitty fan support. What gives?

Missourians will never give a flying frick about college baseball, you can bet on that. It's too bad, I used to go to Mizzou baseball games with my grandfather as a kid, always had a great time. But, it is what it is.
