hope Odom does land some where.

He's a talented DC and we'll respected among college coaches. Not sure if he wants to work but I imagine he could have his pick of DC jobs.

BTW,I was looking at the Ohio State roster and noticed multiple kids from St Louis .Whats the deal? How do they get those kids? I'm assuming the next HC is gonnA try to keep those kids at home

1. Nobody really has any clue at this point. We haven’t been seriously linked with anyone yet.

2. Odom is a very good DC. Any program would benefit from having him in that role. I still think he will eventually be a good HC too. There was a turd in the punch bowl this year. We should have been pounding our chest going into year 5 with him, but instead we are licking our wounds. He has some responsibility for that, I can’t say all.

The inability to recruit the best in state talent has always been a disappointment for Mizzou fans....we need that shite fixed ASAP!

Meyer picked Odom's pockets when it came to a kid OSU wanted. That wave started with Ezekiel Elliott and never really stopped.

y’all gumps some bitches. Get beat and outcoached by Auburn so gotta deflect. Y’all a trashy bunch. Don’t bother defending, no one outside of Alabama believes Bama is anything more than ATL’s landfill. Good thing you have Saban...oh wait he a biotch too “oh it’s unfair, boo hoo”.

I don’t even slightly mean this as a knock on Mizzou, but is this a serious question?

The Mizzou fans in this thread are lying their asses off about enrollment. The freshmen classes might be increasing slightly, but total enrollment is barely moving. Still down about 6k from its record high in 2015 (35k to 29k currently).

I honestly hadn’t researched the newest numbers, but what you are being fed by the news isn’t really the big picture. Yes, freshmen enrollment is up, but we are talking about a few hundred students.

Our enrollment went up 16% while the national average for all colleges was down 2%.

Freshmen enrollment dumbass. That’s a few hundred kids due to the plummet of 2016. When you start with shitty numbers a few hundred makes the percentages sound pretty good.

No shite freshman enrollment. Second consecutive year of a double digit percentage jump.

Obviously, enrollment is rebounding. This isn’t fricking hard.

I know boomer conservatives get very pissed about the thought of black people protesting, but it will continue to be less and less of an issue for incoming students. The next freshman class will have been in 7th grade when that happened. You think those folks are on Facebook sharing fake Trump memes all day frickhead? Lol

Freshman enrollment is up about 800 year over year. You’re googling stuff that we already know.

While total enrollment hasn’t changed in 2 years......so you are seeing increases of 400 students over the previous year.....16 percent sounds impressive until you look at the big picture.

In reality, your record high enrollment was over 35k in 2015 and dropped every year until 2019, when it basically stayed the same at just over 29k. When it dropped below 30k in 2018, it was the first time below that number since 2007. It is still below 30k.

People on here were saying enrollment was back to normal and was “fixed” but Odom wasn’t putting people in the stands.

You do realize you don’t enroll seniors, right?

You enroll freshmen.

So what does total enrollment mean?

It’s called normalization. I don’t understand why this is such a hard thing to grasp for you. We are seeing increases while freshman enrollment nationally is decreasing. It may be difficult to believe, but middle aged white men who blow up their 300 dollar coolers aren’t the demographic here.

Odom WASNT putting butts in the seats and that’s precisely why he was fired, dolt. The attendance dropped every year he was the coach.

You have no idea what you are talking about. I do. I’ve had season tickets for about 10 years and sit around a bunch of other folks who have had them longer. Walking out of the Tennessee game I knew it was over. He had lost the portion of the fanbase you just can’t lose. I thought they may try to hold out one more year, but the writing was on the wall.

To act like we shouldn’t have fired him is completely stupid. I think he is a good coach, but it’s not going to be that difficult to find somebody to go .500 over four years and sell 3/4 of the seats in our stadium. We certainly “should” try to improve upon that performance and frick anybody who says differently. Odom May have eventually turned the corner, but his team this year shite the bed when they really couldn’t afford to and it cost him his job.

Football attendance went from 65k in 2015 to 52k in 2016. That has stayed relatively constant since then. Note that it’s a drop far in excess of the raw number drop in enrollment meaning that average sidewalk and alumni fans have left. Not students.

For the Tennessee game, the last home game of the season, there were around 40k butts in the seats.

I looked at Alabama’s enrollment for the past 20 years. Steady increases in total enrollment.

They might not be seeing 16% increases in freshmen numbers, but they didn’t lose 20% of their total enrollment in 3 years. I would bet no SEC school has lost students over the past 5 years. You are only seeing a rebound from rock bottom, which had to happen.

Now, Odom might have not made them what your fans wanted, but give me a break. Losing students, losing booster money, sanctions....who could he recruit?

I don’t know what boomers have to do with this? Gen X offspring are the ones going to college now. This didn’t just piss off the boomers. And Gen Z are probably as conservative as the boomers. Frick all social justice and PC BS. The faster Mizzou realizes this the better.

808, I totally understand this. I went to the Mizzou/Kansas game in arrowhead several years ago. Cheered my arse off for the tigers. I want Mizzou to do well. I cheer for them anytime they aren’t playing Bama.

I don’t mean to be an arse, but when you roll in and start dropping Mensa references it rubs me wrong. I can be cool with you though as I like smart asses much more than dumb asses
