He'd be a good hire. Just don't let Scott Woodward draft the contract.

They need a program builder worse than we do.

Not a bad choice tbh. He was a monster Texas high school football coach, came to Texas and became a recruiting whiz, then does the best he can with UTSA recruits.

He still has deep ties to East Texas and DFW high schools, in fact one of our starting DE's was recruited and developed by Traylor.

You know who else was a high school football coach? Hugh Freeze.

I’ve seen this rodeo before. Smart agents use the idiots at Auburn to lock their clients into better deals at their current schools. It happens every coaching search and ends with Auburn hiring some bum off the trash heap.

His crown jewel was Brandon Jones. TexAgs even made a movie about the recruitment

Traylor would be an excellent coach for Auburn or anyone else. The best major college coaches are either from small schools or coordinators. This idea that you need to steal a big name coach from another top school is dumb. It fails just as often.

The added bonus of getting a guy that’s not at a major program is: more $ to spend on NIL. Also makes it easier to move on quicker if it’s not working

He’s a good coach. The guys wife is VERY adamant about not leaving Texas, so doubt it happens.

Unless you want a Chad Morris situation

Traylor is a damn good coach. The source you posted is a joke though

This is actually very bad news for the SEC. He’s a great coach.

Good coach. Many wanted him in Aggieland post Fisher.

Highly successful Tecas high school coach who has done more with less in college.

If they had any sense they would hire Summerall from Tulane, whose wife went to Auburn.

He is probably on LSU's list, but not at the top of it.
