Wrong...they "recognize" it, they just don't reward it at the D1 level...have a nice day...

In 1908, TDs were 5 points. (1.2 Factor)

Imagine a piece of Gump Garbage trying to erase a CLEAN 10-0 RECORD of the greatest team in the first 100 years that:
•Scored 442 Points in 10 Games
•Scored 44.2 ppg (equals 52 ppg today)
•Allowed a single 5 point TD in 10 games
•Allowed a total of 11 Points in 10 Games
•Allowed 1.1 Points per game

Imagine the ENVY it took to sit and type this Bullshite, knowing your program is tainted fkn garbage awaiting the next round of NCAA penalties up to and including DEATH when just 1 pair of LOOSE LIPS UNZIP.

My 1908 LSU National Champ LSU Fighting Tigers exceeded everything that the 2019 LSU Tigers did in Scoring Off/Defense.

They were awesome and they remain Legend

1984: BYU, by default. One of the weirdest seasons ever produced an undefeated team that swept the polls, but didn’t play anybody more glamorous than 6-6 Michigan. (The best team, per S&P+, SRS, Sagarin, and six contemporary selectors: a bowl-banned Florida. Claim it, Gators.)

My 1908 LSU National Champ LSU Fighting Tigers

A doubt was cast on this team because of accusations of recruiting violations from Tulane that were enough for some publications to list Auburn as the champions of the south prior to the SIAA's clearance of any wrongdoing by LSU. But clearly the LSU Tigers were the best in the south and the first truly great team in LSU football annals. Many years later, in awarding retroactive national titles to colleges, the 1908 Tigers were named co-national champions with Pennsylvania by the National Championship Foundation.

Congrats on the retro title.

Your selected clip is absolute BS — Nice Try

There’s nothing retro about the title except false accusations against a clean Program.

LSU always had the right to recognize that team as National Champions. NCAA does.

NCAA recognizes LSU as national champion for that season (along with Penn).

LSU plans now to honor their 1906 Champs.

The Truth — LSU was wrongly accused of professionalism by Tulane (and their homo pen pal Grantland Rice took up their cause) and wrote BS about LSU who was cleared of all wrongdoing after the final SAIA Awards were given to Auburn

SAIA withheld LSU’s title pending investigation. Of course LSU was cleared.

Auburn was declared SAIA 1906 champion due to Faux Scandal perpetrated on LSU by Tulane and fueled by Grantland Rice Articles that were later deemed lies.

As a matter of fact, two years later in 1910, a former LSU player was arrested for slapping Grantland Rice silly (until he pissed himself) in a New Orleans Brewery Pub. Rice cried like a baby when he was slapped silly but never apologized in writing for his lies and slander of the 1908 Team. He never pressed charges against the former LSU Player either.

THE EVENT FUELED INTENSE HATRED BETWEEN THE TWO FANBASES TULANE GREEN WITH ENVY .

SAIA investigation cleared LSU who was then awarded the 1908 SAIA Championship.

What happened in 1908 would be the same as if the 2019 LSU team would be stripped of the SEC Title by the SEC pending an investigation, and awarding the SEC title in 2019 to Auburn. Later, after the 2019 Team was cleared by SEC investigation, the SEC awarded the title back to LSU.

1973: Notre Dame beat Alabama in a #1 vs. #3 bowl. Ignore Bama’s claim to this season, unless you’d also like to ignore the game between the two at the end of the 2012 season. SRS considers once-tied Oklahoma the best non-World War II team ever, by the way.

I don’t mind someone going back and picking one team each year based on an objective look at the best available evidence, thus removing all the split claims. Interesting idea, not sure I’ve seen anyone take the time to go back through the entire history of CFB. But when the writer wrote the above he kinda lost all credibility that this would be an objective read. Not because he picked ND over Bama, I’m ok with that. Just that this argument is entirely illogical (1973 system /= 2012 system).
