So which game are you actually saying homefield advantage would have made a difference in

I'm not personally suggesting any of them would have made a difference. I was simply pointing out reasons that some folks will always doubt how strong that team was.

Sadly I'm afraid the "list makers" will disagree as time passes. In fact, I've already seen some of the media pundits who have moved them down on their list of greatest title teams.

Don't shoot the messenger, I was just as surprised as any Bama fan.

Ha! Oh yes. I am sure 2020 Alabama (with 3/5 Heisman finalists, a record six first round draft picks, and Saban’s immense legacy attached to it) is just going to plummet down GOAT lists as the years go by.

Good one.

You know what else AI told me? That when I stop taking my statin it can cause body and muscular aches........to which my Doctor said...bullshite.

Surely you don't want to go down the AI road?

Again, the mere fact that you're here arguing your point shows there is a growing sentiment among non Bama fans to question the strength of the team.

Do I think they were a great team? Sure I do but sadly due to the circumstances of the season folks will always question it.

You don't seem to understand that each time a Bama fan feels the need to defend the 2020 team it only adds fuel to the fire.

I personally couldn't care less what other folks have to say about 2007 LSU. The team won the title. That's all that matters

I’m not a fan of anyone, but I will debate until the cows come home about most anything.

Ohio State won 6 games before the playoffs.

Florida or Clemson was the next best team probably. And they got beat by either Bama or the team that Bama smoked.

Feel the same way about any title Bama has. If I was an LSU fan, I would laugh at anyone who brought up 2007 LSU as a negative. That was a great team. Lot of great teams that year too.

If this were true LSU fans would have started 27 threads about it.

You did personally suggest it because you are the person I replied to.

At any rate it's obviously baseless.

And while the loudness of fans can complicate things in some situations, studies have shown that the largest effect of homefield advantage is familiarity rather than the crowds. Same reason most overdoses happen at home.

They're out there. I have no reason to lie about it. You can check my posts, I'm a huge Saban fan and other than some of the more obnoxious Bama posters I don't have an issue with the school or the football team.

Now, that doesn't mean were gonna be holding hands and singing around the campfire, but the fact that I saw some of these "polls" has more to do with idiots in sports media than LSU fans wanting it to be true.

The mere fact that we're having this discussion is itself proof that a large majority of college football fans cast a shadow over the 2020 team. Kinda like 2007 LSU

2020 Alabama just didn't capture the overall public's imagination for some reason, I'm sure it had something to do with the overall weirdness of the season, and people being concerned with other things besides college football.

I'll trust AI over you, yes 100%. Especially when it comes to the topic of generalizing all the information out there, which is what AI does.

Ok, so if Alabama fans talking about an Alabama national championship team is shows there is growing sentiment, then what does it say about an LSU fan talking about another teams national championship and trying to devalue it?

When you are full of cope and delusion it leads to you saying dumb things. Stop and accept the reality.

It was the weakest CFB season in history. Hell even, Jimbo with Kellen Mond won 10 games.

Just accept the asterisk

Well, this thread was going along good with the adults chiming in with meaningful discussion. I should have known a stupid punk kid was going to show up eventually.

If anything, 2020 presented even more challenges to overcome than any other season in history.

Again, you have to understand how this site works. When a team has a game rescheduled/postponed for a hurricane, that tests and defines that team's character. When Alabama overcomes the challenges the Chinese Flu situation posed, that only cheapens their title.
