Bama's 2020 schedule was not difficult.

Based on your logic then neither was LSU’s. And they went 5-5.

Is it true that is the worst record by a defending national champion in modern college football history?

The only ones that seem bitter about it is LSU and that’s due to insecurity that Bama team would have dog walked 2019 LSU

a 4-6 Ole Miss team and UF both drove up and down and scored at will on Bama in 2020. Burrow would have hung 70 on that defense.

2020 was a depressing year with the opt-outs, strict covid sit-out rules, 10% fan capacity. etc. You’d be lying to yourself if you didn’t say 2020 wasn’t a cheapened season

Yeah, I know, but every once in a while, myself and maybe a handful of others try to rise up above all of the nonsense and get folks to chime in with honest-to-goodness conjecture. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't. This thread has made it 4 pages without a whole lot of the usual crap, so maybe there's hope for mankind afterall!

Yes. I think it kills LSU fans that Alabama won the national championship just one year after LSU did.

I'm afraid you don't personally know many of us and you've let your opinion of LSU fans be dictated by posters on tRant.

LSU fans are used to Alabama winning more national titles, like every other fan base in the country.

Are LSU fans now claiming it has been decades since Alabama sniffed a national championship?

That was directed at the Texas fan.

Bama fans trying to convince themselves Mac Jones beats Burrow needs to lay off the crack. One is an All-Pro, AFC champ heisman winner, the other is built like mash potatoes

There’s no real criticism for 2020 Bama

Sadly I'm afraid the "list makers" will disagree as time passes. In fact, I've already seen some of the media pundits who have moved them down on their list of greatest title teams.

Don't shoot the messenger, I was just as surprised as any Bama fan.

A lot of LSU fans are just waking up. It will likely spiral after they get up and get a few drinks in them.

If this were true LSU fans would have started 27 threads about it.

They're out there. I have no reason to lie about it. You can check my posts, I'm a huge Saban fan and other than some of the more obnoxious Bama posters I don't have an issue with the school or the football team.

Now, that doesn't mean were gonna be holding hands and singing around the campfire, but the fact that I saw some of these "polls" has more to do with idiots in sports media than LSU fans wanting it to be true.

The mere fact that we're having this discussion is itself proof that a large majority of college football fans cast a shadow over the 2020 team. Kinda like 2007 LSU

Yes, only LSU fans are responsible for sports pundits and media asking questions about the validity of the 2020 season.

Again, the mere fact that you're here arguing with me about it proves my point.
